Someone tried to break in last night.

I have replaced all wired cameras with the newest Google Nest outdoor cameras and they are high enough they cannot be easily reached. The negative is you have to route the power wire over to an outlet indoors or outside. The video is recorded in the cloud for security and is accessed via the Google

Need suggestions for 3rd party security cameras that work with Google Home

I have two Onn Indoor cameras, two Nest Outdoor cameras and a Nest Floodlight cam. All are viewable in about the same amount of time when I open the Google Home App. less than 1 to 3 seconds, seems that there's always one that takes an extra second or two, but it's random and can be a Nest or a Onn.

Our newest Google Home devices are built for Gemini

Wow, two things stand out to me here: The new speaker doesn't launch until Spring 2026. Seems pretty far away for an announcement like this...would have expected it to be on store shelves by the end of October in time for the holidays. Contrast this to Amazon, who just announced a slate of new Alexa

Google Nest Problems?

We use two first generation Nest outdoor cameras, a more recent version of the Nest Thermostat (still usable), and a newer Google Nest outdoor camera. Google sent me a "free" Google Home display that I use for the newer Google Nest outdoor camera as a live display. It gets confused sometimes and can

Does anyone know is this camera is gen 1 or gen 2?

Google being Google has a confusing naming schema, they released a new camera after the Nest Cam ( Outdoor or Indoor Battery) that is called Nest Cam Outdoor (Wired 2nd Gen) so people identify the Nest Cam ( Outdoor or Indoor Battery) as gen 1 product, they did not release a new battery model though

Is this the right time to invest in a massive Nest haul, or wait for Spring or Fall?

Based on my ownership of most of this: Cameras: 6x Nest Cam Indoor (Wired), 2x Nest Cam Outdoor (Wired), 2x Floodlight Cams, 1x Doorbell (Wired). - Will Work well, unclear what will be released in the Fall of 2026 Networking: Nest WiFi Pro (3-pack). - I use these today and they work fine. I've not s

Recognition of Different Animals on New Outdoor Nest Cam

Internet connection is 200 up and 900 down. Nest Cam Outdoor (wired, 2nd gen) with 2K video and Gemini and Google Home Premium Advanced subscription watching live video is really bad, the resolution is constantly changing and the video is constantly freezing, tried downgrading bandwidth usage but it

Migrating to Google Home was a mistake

I tried transferring one of my wired 1st gen cameras and it didn’t work. Checked with ChatGPT and stated: This is a known limitation/bug with: • NEST_CAM_OUTDOOR.0 • After transfer from the Nest app • Inside Google Home (especially on iOS) Also indicated something on the server side, but no fix availa

Is anyone else experiencing this with their camera feed ?

It is a Gen 1 Nest cam outdoor wired.I have a TP-Link EAP225-Outdoor AC1200 4 inches away from the camera and that is connected to the router via a 1 gig port and my connection is 1gb up and down. I don't think it is a wifi issue as the other cameras are connected to the same AP and are further away

Legacy Nest owner - just bought a new "Nest" camera and WTF

If it ain't broke, don't fix it! There was nothing wrong with my old Dropcams until Google made them obsolete. The indoor wired cameras they replaced them with are OK, but the app is awful compared to Dropcams. I loved my 1st generation Nest outdoor camera. The audio was amazing and could pick up co
