That was a Google nest camera, not a ring one. Nest cameras record like an hour or something if you don't have the subscription. They had to do some crazy data recovery to get the footage too.

Planned obsolescence. I used to be all in on google home stuff, google wifi, nest thermostat and doorbell, nest cameras, google homes in every room. Slowly but surely what was a great camera when I bought it, is now essentially garbage. any useful feature is locked behind some sort of subscription.

Word of caution before you transfer. After you transfer your last nest camera. Google automatically deletes your saved nest clips. I didn't know this was the case and wasn't given a warning. I ended up losing all of my saved clips so make sure you download them prior to the transfer.
