GL-BE3600 (Slate 7)

Travel router. Just got the GL iNET slate 7. Complete game changer.

For those that haven't checked recently, looks like 4.7.2 is finally out for the Slate 7. This is a 64-bit build, and includes the screen pin lock, as well as the ability to add/remove panes from the display. Also fixes my Wireguard and Tailscale speed issues.

It really depends on your use case. If you are using it as a travel router with < 300Mbps VPN speeds, then the AX is fine. So glad. With the Slate 7’s, and newer GL.iNet routers - the Network Acceleration helps really well when handling VPN’s and remote access connecting to home router. Makes it much faster connection. But for our purposes, the Network Acceleration sends the data packets in a different “tunnel stream.”

Hey da51d. I thought I replied to you, but now I am not seeing it. I apologize for the delay. I run two Slate 7’s. Very good and strong routers. They offer both 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and the MLO which is supposed to be 6 GHz, but doesn’t actually use the frequency range of 6Ghz.its more like a blended 2.4

They're not "large", but the Slate series is basically 3x the size of the UTR. And even the Beryl is twice as thick. It's all a series of tradeoffs, right? I would concede that the Beryl AX with stock OpenWRT on it, for example, is a much more flexible platform that offers better compute. You could
