I'm Done (For Real)
I can never live with the genelecs 8030c I had in the past. It's a little too sharp and when watching random low quality YouTube videos, it becomes unbearable. Not sure if it's the tweeter or the upper bass.

Sold my Event Opals - what now?
Are the 8341 radically different to 8030/8040’s? Asking as I didn’t like their character at all and took that for the Genelec sound Was never impressed with Dynaudios either tbh Regardless thank you for your input.

Sold my Event Opals - what now?
I'm more into the ATC sound myself, personally. I found 8030 to not have good driver integration, and flabbed out too easily when pushed. I have experience with those and with the older 10xx models. The Ones are actually coaxial three ways. The tweeter is mounted at the center of the mid driver, and

why are genelec speakers considered "bad"?
Get to know me then. Genelecs are bad for computer multimedia. 8030 and smaller.

Picked up Genelec 8331A
How big of a difference would it be to go with some other cheaper sub over a genelec sub to pair with the 8030/8330/8331? I'm thinking maybe for base frequencies every spent extra dollar makes less difference.

Real snake oils that you swear by.
I can't with genelecs though. Had the 8030 and it's too sharp. I thought brand preference is not a snake oil, especially since you are in mixing so sticking to the same brand is important for you to understand a mix quickly

Why do people say Yamaha HS5 (or the entire HS series) is uncomfortable to listen to?
I heard the genelec 8030-8040 next to the hs80 in store. I don't understand why people prefer the more muffled sound of the genelecs. The store owner assured me all speakers were set to flat at the dials on the back. Maybe the 1031A are different.

iLoud MTM MK2 vs Genelec 8010 — which for a small untreated room?
Someone is selling a pair of 8030 CP for 800 or less and another seller offers 8020 for 600 with a potential woofer for 150. so the iLouds are not that good compared to genelec? Is it because they aren’t as precise and flat?
