Battery life rant
If you look at Garmin models that attempt to do the same thing an apple watch does, like their Venu X1, you will see the battery is not great either. That 2 week battery comes with a lot of stuff disabled. Maybe you need them, maybe you don't, your choice.

Venu X1 or Instinct 3 solar
My I2 was / is a forgiving watch. It is a certain kind of peoce of mind and use when I don't have to babysit my watch. The screen on the I3 Solar is one of the sharpest / most readable screens of garmin. No touch, no sapphire, and new version of solar. IMHO the best combination. Venu X1 has a big be

Pixel Watch 4 Now or Wait for Pixel Watch 5 in October?
I got tired of waiting for better battery and finally went to Garmin. I was tired of having to take it off to charge for way longer than my shower each day. Google, Apple, Samsung all need to figure out how to get better battery life in these things. Even the Venu X1 which is probably the closest th

Venu X1 vs S70 (vs S50) for golf
I bought the VenuX1 over a month ago and have used it golfing several times with no issues. So far I've played 3 - 18 holes and 5 - 9 hole rounds without any issues. My only recommendation is that you get the CT-10 club sensors on your wedges and chipping iron. This was a recommendation from a few o

Apple Watch Ultra 3 vs Garmin
Except that Garmin is now attempting to compete with Apple and Android. If you look at the new releases like the Venu X1, Venu4, the Fenix 8 Pro, the batteries are getting fewer days than their predecessors. The VenuX1 is rated for 2 days with AOD, the Fenix8 pro MicroLed is rated for 4 days with AO

Is it true the UW 3 cannot continuously track & display my heart rate?
I think that if Apple ever allowed real text message integration with Garmin watches, I’d end up going with a Fenix. They are great watches that do the health stuff right and have great battery life. Or maybe the Venu X1. I like the square form factor better than round. And I do like Apple’s magsafe

Honestly, no glowing smartwatch screen can compete with this vibe
Longest run I've had with a non Fenix device was the FR 965. But I always go back to Fenix. Current daily is Fenix 7s Pro then I use my Fenix 8 47mm AMOLED for workouts because it's easier to log weights on and it's nice having a bigger vibrant screen/maps for hiking/kayaking. My answer would have t

I don't get the Garmin Hype
You should have considered a Venu X1. Half as thin as the AWU, bigger screen, and some of the Garmin goodness (battery life sucks though, for a Garmin that is)

Apple or Garmin?
I have only used Garmin (Fenix and now Venu X1) both have great battery life. I did a 10k OWS last year with the Venu and the battery had no problems. I did it under 4 hours.
