As a European it’s a bit strange to see two American companies fight over my data. First Garmin raises prices like us in Europe ought to to included in Trumps tariffs on Americans and now this open battle of my data. Now my Strava Premium is cancelled, the connection to Garmin will be cut, and I wil

If you like these, you’d probably love a Garmin device. The Connect IQ store is filled with data heavy faces, tons of them free as well. I don’t think I could go back (previously had a Venu 2) because I really love the tight integration, but I miss the battery life! The Venu 3 has tempted me, but I

I have both the MIP and the AMOLED version. Sure there is a risc of burn-in if you use the always on - but Garmin knows this and refreshes the whole screen in a predefined interval. I used the Venu2 with always on for several years without any burn. I get around 6 days of use with the AMOLED always

The Fenix 7X Pro Sapphire Solar is currently $499 at Cabela's, I just picked one up last Friday to replace my Venu 2. I had an additional 10% military discount so I walked it out for $487, absolutely could not justify the higher cost for the Fenix 8. https://www.cabelas.com/p/garmin-fenix-7x-pro-sap

Any watch with all-system multiband would be better than your Venu 2s. My garmin FR955 with that is substantially better than my FR245, but I do still have some issues with instant pace not feeling right in heavy cover scenarios. Note that how bad trees are varies a bit - high humidity and rain also

I’ve got both those (Venu 2, Active 2), depends on what ecosystem you prefer to be in. That Garmin is 4ish years old, so software updates aren’t ever going to happen, the feature set is what you will always have. The Amazfit Active 2 still gets updates. The Garmin does have some apps and lots of wat

Thank you very much for your interest. There are two things. Firstly, yes, the Garmin Venu 2 Plus has a slightly higher resolution than the vívoactive® 5, so for better compatibility it should be adjusted. I can do that. Secondly, the watch face I made uses the garmin.watchfacebuilder.com online app

I have a hand-me-down Garmin Venu 2. The stress level readout is a great proxy for tracking my hyperadrenergic POTS.

I hope they won't price it out of range! $249 might be pushing it for me, though if it otherwise clicks the right buttons, I might go for it. I'm sort of jonesing for a Venu 4 (41mm), but it's hard to justify at the current price point. I've heard one can earn a 20% discount, but then it's still $44

If you’re trying to get away from subscriptions, Garmin is probably one of the safest ecosystems. Something like the Garmin Vivosmart 5 or Garmin Venu 2 covers HR, sleep tracking, steps, and pulse ox without locking stuff behind a paywall. Samsung users also sometimes go with the Samsung Galaxy Watc
