I left Garmin!
I’m now part of Team Coros watches as well. I got myself the Coros Pace Pro. Previously, I had the Garmin Fenix 7X, Forerunner 965, Fenix 8 AMOLED, and Enduro 3. I find Garmin completely overloaded; most of the data they analyze is not really useful, like “Stamina,” just to name one example. Additio

Garmin airport staff said 40% of their sales are the Forerunner 165. Why is it so dominant?
Honestly, it’s the sweet spot. The Forerunner 165 gives you like 80–90% of what most runners actually use (GPS, HR, training metrics, AMOLED screen) without the price jump of the Forerunner 265 or Forerunner 965. Most people don’t need maps, triathlon modes, or super advanced analytics, they just wa

Does swimming really burn this many calories?!
I picked up swimming several months ago. Just last week, I finally upgraded from my super old garmin forerunner 235 to a new forerunner 965. I was able to track a swim at the pool for the first time with the new watch and was stunned at how many calories that the garmin app and strata said I burned.

Would Strava be able to track my distance ran at 5-a-side football?
yes it would track it, the accuracy probably wouldn't be very good though. even with my garmin forerunner 965 it's a bit iffy

Amazfit vs Garmin
As a owner of several Garmin watches over years, currently have a Forerunner 965 I strongly disagree regarding the daily suggested workouts, they are mostly a joke. Garmin software is also so so, and the connect app is a mess. Garmin sleep tracking another weakness. So instead go for a Forerunner 96

Garmin user thinking of jumping ship for a Coros
Hey /r/Coros, I've been a Garmin user for years and with their recent announcement of a subscription model + "AI", I sense enshittification looms on the horizon. I'm thinking of moving to Coros. Desired criteria:
- Music storage
- Maps/compass
- Superior battery life
- Low profile, ideally
- Tough build, scr

Tried apple watch and whoop for a month
I tried wearing an apple series 11 and a Garmin forerunner 965 together for a few days and these are my takeaways from it; Battery life: this doesn’t really warrant a comment here. I have to charge the AW daily and the 965 is 23 days Heart rate tracking: Almost identical. I checked during sleep duri

Will the Epix & Fenix 7 be left behind?
I’ve had a bunch of Garmin watches, mainly the Fenix line. Over the years older versions continued to get software features & updates well into the future. With the Fenix 8 and the change in coding with the new software, and with older watches (forerunner 955/965 getting features while the Epix Pro

Just got this Insta ad
I've had mine since August. All the sports activities I recorded up 12 October (4-5 per week) have disappeared. The ring no longer records sports activities now, it just returns blank data and then doesn't even save that. Steps are off. Compared to my Garmin FR965 HR average s mostly seemed to be in

I think my adderall was making me sicker
Garmin Forerunner 965. Which is way overkill for measuring sleep, but I bought it for myself after my 6 months of acute illness were over and I thought I'd be able to start running again. The Vivoactive or something similar would probably be good enough for these metrics.
