[Apple] Introducing Apple Watch Ultra 3
As a Garmin user, to be honest I'm really sad about direction that Garmin is taking. Prices went up, at least here in PL, Fenix 8 Pro Amoled costs 1.5x of Apple Watch Ultra 3, while to use Satellite connection you need to have 9eur/month subscription (when apple provides it for 2 years for free). Watch OS 26
Fyi if you check r/garmin & r/garminwatches, battery life is better for sure but they tend to drop support on their watches quickly. Eg. Epix 2 Pro / Fenix 7 didn’t get the new UI, isn’t getting new features, Forerunner 965 isn’t getting a lot of new features after the release of the 970, and they’r

Garmin user thinking of jumping ship for a Coros
Hey /r/Coros, I've been a Garmin user for years and with their recent announcement of a subscription model + "AI", I sense enshittification looms on the horizon. I'm thinking of moving to Coros. Desired criteria:
- Music storage
- Maps/compass
- Superior battery life
- Low profile, ideally
- Tough build, scr

Tried apple watch and whoop for a month
I tried wearing an apple series 11 and a Garmin forerunner 965 together for a few days and these are my takeaways from it; Battery life: this doesn’t really warrant a comment here. I have to charge the AW daily and the 965 is 23 days Heart rate tracking: Almost identical. I checked during sleep duri

Suunto Vertical a disappointment
I've used a Garmin for years. The last model was the forerunner 965 and the optical heart rate sensor did not work well. Almost unusable. I had to use a chest strap. I was not satisfied with the build quality of the watch and the strap. The belt was deteriorating rapidly. The watch quickly collected

For the ones that have used a Garmin Watch, what made you come back to Apple Watch?
Well said. I just left Garmin (965) for my first Apple Watch just last month. It drives me crazy how often my watch notifications go off, how often I have to charge it, etc. However… I don’t really care anymore if I leave my phone behind as I hardly need it. I can answer calls/texts/emails, unlock/d

Forerunner 965 issues
I’ve been disappointed with my 965 for following reasons but perhaps there are solutions I’m not aware of.
- As another post mentioned, battery life is no where near the 20 days. Even with a Pulse Ox off and only short GPS runs a few times a week, i have to charge every 4-5 days.
- Heart rate zone work

“Coming soon: The same best-in class performance, with a new look and feel.”
I bought it for the extra battery and the titanium bezel as I’m planning to run on longer distances, and I needed maps integration. My first watch was a Pace 3, then I moved to a Pace pro, then to a 965. Garmin telling me every morning that I need to sleep as I’m not wearing the watch at night plus

Question about battery life forerunner 965
Hey all
New member here. I’ve had my Garmin forerunner 965 Just over a week now.. I’m concerned about the battery life
It’s draining like 15% a day. I’ve been going a 30-50 minute run every day. The GPS is set to “auto select “
The brightness is turned to highest but it’s not always on- only when

Battery Race 2
Well, it seems AMOLED screens aren't as evolved as many claim. What you're describing was my exact experience with a Forerunner 965 and a Coros Pace Pro (both AMOLED), around 15% daily drain. Now I have a Coros Apex 4 and, with 2 hours of GPS per day, I use about 7-8% of battery daily. Pros and cons
