Forerunner 265 turn prompts not working.
I have had a Forerunner 265 for over 2 years now and the route turn prompts have always worked okay. A few weeks ago they stopped working, I did a factory reset and installed the latest software update, but still the same.
I then reinstalled Garmin Connect app on my phone and did a couple of new ro

Advice and personal anecdotes needed
Hi 46F, with two small children here. I'm signed up for a half on the 23 Feb in my home town. Low stakes, just for fun.
Some background: I've been running on and off my entire life, but have have upped my mileage since 2023. Early in 2024, I ran a couple of 14-15km at about 6.1 m/km, and was gener

Sow

Watch buying advice/opinions. Garmin Forerunner 970 vs 965 vs 570 vs 265 vs 165 vs Polar Vantage V3
On the watch itself, it doesn't have full maps. So for example if you go on Strava and create a running route and send it to your watch it'll essentially only do turn-by-turn instructions with a single navigational line. You essentially keep looking at your watch to make sure you're still on the lin

Coros pace pro or Garmin forerunner 265 for marathon training? Or neither?
If you're going to be running unfamiliar routes, the map function is just better on the pace pro. I run in Austin and don't like to run with a paper map. I just let the watch beep at me when to turn and I can see the map on the screen. I have a 265s and a pace pro. I run with the pace pro. The 265 o

Official Q&A for Thursday, April 30, 2026
Getting significant differences in pace between two watches with same perceived effort. Apple series 2 and forerunner 265. For an effort that would give like 8:30 on Apple Watch my garmin is saying maybe like 9:15 usually more like 9:30. Has the Apple Watch (older model relatively but still gps) jus

Garmin Forerunner 570 vs Coros Apex 4
I've just bought the apex 4 having gone from the 265. Ive been getting more and more annoyed with Garmin. They used to be great but every update now seems to change the metrics and then they put stuff behind a paywall. The Apex 4 has everything and more that my FR has to offer. The battery life can

GPS Inaccuracy in Forests
Hello!
I’ve been getting more serious the past few months in my training and decided to get myself a watch so I don’t have to lug my phone around. Carrying it isn’t that big of a deal, but I’ve been doing more threshold and interval runs and it is not super fun trying to interface with Strava as I’

Watch for someone who has an apple watch but hated Garmin
Hi all! I've been running for many years and finally deciding to switch the apple watch for a sports watch. I recently tried Garmin (Forerunner 265) and honestly did not like it. The app was awful, the navigation felt clunky and couldn't get over how bad the UI was. I figure maybe the garmin had too
