So far I don’t mind the AMOLED over the MIP. I have the brightness set to the lowest setting, ‘always on’ set to off, and the auto brightness seems to be doing a good job, even in the moderate brightness of today. I believe the pro version has slightly higher brightness output than the standard F8 I

I really can’t see MIP continuing, which is a shame as I don’t mind it on my F6P. I have an F8P on order (AMOLED) so can certainly offer you comparisons on experience soon. I guess both production and design costs would be negatively impacted if Garmin had to continue to invest in both types of tech
