What kind of smart watch are you wearing on the trails AND in the office?
Garmin epix pro gen 2. If I had to get a new one right now, I'd get the new Fenix, whatever it is. 8? But I just wear it with bright silicone bands even with suits in court, because who cares.

Not the most frugal thing I know, I just splurged on myself with a new running watch, Garmin Epix Pro gen 2 sapphire. Ran be $450, and that is on sale. I run 1000-1500 miles a year and I like data. I think it will be worth it (and a lot better than the Vivoactive 4 I've been using since 2020.)

I don't do anything, but want a Garmin.
I bought an Epix Gen 2 a couple of years ago. I don’t use half the features but I love the look and feel of it. Go for it! No one really needs a Rolex, Breitling, or TAG Heuer, either, but they sell a lot of them for no reason other than keeping time and looking great on your wrist. Why can’t we do

Epix Pro Gen2/Fenix 7 Pro - would you buy this watch again or went for other brand/model?
Epix Pro Gen 2 (51mm, DLC). For me it feels absolutely great and does more things I wanted it to do. 10/10 would buy again, especially now since the price dropped. Navigation and battery life is what I wanted this watch for - I like to do very long hikes and with all systems deployed my watch advert

Garmin users are getting screwed, and most don’t even realize it
I have the Epix Gen 2 and have been very happy with it. 3 years on and the battery is not what it first was, but that happens with all tech devices. I get that newer models and more updates , but my watch still does everything I paid for initially. If I was to upgrade again now, the only tangible fe

Like I’m stupid, compare a 7 vs 8?
Fenix 7 has an older HR sensor, no LED flashlight except on 7X, and only has a MIP screen, the AMOLED model was called Epix Gen 2. Fenix 7 Pro / Epix Pro are basically the same as Fenix 8, with all the same sensors and internal hardware, and LED flashlight on every model, the main differences are: F

What is a light that you didn’t think you’d use often but ended up using quite a lot?
The light on my Garmin Epix Pro Gen 2 (Smartwatch). I use it a lot because it's really no effort to double-press a button on my watch, instead of having to carry or locate one of my other flashlights.

Has my Fitbit been lying to me?
I tried my Inspire 3 with my Garmin Epix Gen 2 over a 5 mile walk and the steps were around 500 difference. So I do trust the Inspire.

Garmin Watch
I use the Epix Gen 2. I’m primarily a runner as well but cycling at least once a week. And I too just signed up for a Sprint Tri this fall (swimming sucks for me 🤣). The Epix works great. It’s a bit heavier than some of the other options but I like that it’s rugged (I have the sapphire version). I d

Switch from Apple Watch to Garmin - is it worth it?
I just switched this past week from AW series 9 (9 year AW user) to a Garmin Epix gen 2. I switched because I’m training for very long races (full Ironman, 100+ mile bike races) for which the Apple Watch battery just won’t last. However, if you’re just tracking daily runs and strength workouts it ma
