Fenix 8 AMOLED burn-in
5 years will probably get some degree of burns-in, but it might still be usable. There are not many reports on Fenix 8 because it is relatively new, but older Garmin watches have plenty of burns-in reports, just go check the epix gen 2 forums. It is a technology issue that will always happen despite

Buy fenix 8 or wait for fenix 9
I’m waiting, the 8 processor is so slow and dated. The screen takes longer to turn on than my Epix gen 2 (non pro) does. IMO it’s half baked for what they cost these days. That being said, if I needed a new Garmin right now I would still buy it lol.

Amoled regret
I did the same. Went from Fenix 5 to EPIX Gen 2 and quickly back to Fenix 7 Sapphire Solar. I really like the MIP

Favorite bike computer?
Garmin Edge 1050. Expensive but the larger screen is much easier for navigating. 1040 can probably still be found for a bit less. If you just want to collect data though it’s not really needed. I used mine for navigating in new areas but most of my rides are in areas I know well. So it’s overkill. B

Pebble Time 2 Touchscreen
Not sure what Garmin you had, but my Epix Gen 2, Fenix 8, and Forerunner 970 all have the ability to completely turn off the touchscreen. But they're all the 5-button models, so you can exclusively use the buttons to navigate the watch. IIRC, the watches with less than 5 buttons don't have the optio

How are these not dominating the market?
I have tried 10+ watches and settled on this one. It is in some important ways better than $1300 Garmin Fenix 8 Sapphire - brighter screen for example and lower weight. It is not dominating the market because 1) people are stupid and need few years to grasp the situation 2) Amazfit is greedy and wil

What actually is good in Coros?
