I'd recommend the Garmin Enduro 3 over the Fenix. They have a longer battery life, are cheaper and have almost all of the features of the Fenix. The missing features won't be missed in the backcountry.

You can try Garmin Enduro 3 instead. Much cheaper and very similar to Fenix 8.
