Thoughts on what watch to buy?

If your primary concerns are GPS and battery life, then you should check out the Garmin Enduro 3. Expensive, but worth every penny to me because those were also my primary concerns. It is a fantastic adventure watch! Very durable, excellent GPS accuracy (I’ve worn it in the Swiss Alps, rural Japan,

Best smartwatch for a mountain guide?

I'd recommend the Garmin Enduro 3 over the Fenix. They have a longer battery life, are cheaper and have almost all of the features of the Fenix. The missing features won't be missed in the backcountry.

Switching to Suunto

Switched from Garmin Enduro to Suunto Vertical 2. No regrets. Such an amazing watch. No complaints.

Coros pace pro

MP3 is overrated. Just get a running belt, take phone and then skip tracks with headphones.. I’ll never understand why folks care about music playing on a watch especially since it’s not even a cellular watch.. Past that, pace pro is legit and does everything you really need. My battery would last 1

Which watch should I choose for trail running?

Look for a deal on a Garmin Enduro 2 or 3. They are imo the best trailrunning watch by far in terms of features and battery life for the money and should be well within your budget. Lot of people mentioning Coros here, but imo getting an older Enduro 2 with 2x or more the GPS battery life (and unlim

Amazfit Cheetah and the new updates. Life cycle too short?

I also have a Cheetah and it is still a solid watch, but the design is aesthetically hideous to me - the case and band are a terrible color and the case does not take kindly to quick fit bands as it is an odd shape. I have a Garmin Enduro 1 that still works great, but for the cost of a new Garmin I

Best watch for triathlon ?

I have a Garmin Enduro 2. It is spectacular. I've had it for a year and a half, and it works nearly 3 weeks with about 10 hours of activity a week, including 3-4 hours of GPS activities per week. I got it on sale for $600, which is almost half off. As far as elevation gain goes, do you use your watc

Best Watch for Hiking Backpacking For Pricepoint/Value

My garmin enduro 3 made it through 4 days of active tracking, with map nav for 5-6 hours a day, and still had 30% charge left. But it's ~$700 and only comes in 51mm.

Fenix price decreases after new model drops

You can try Garmin Enduro 3 instead. Much cheaper and very similar to Fenix 8.

New hiking watch

I have a garmin enduro 3. It’s solar so it last a good two months without having to charge.. also depends on how much you use GPS. I love that my wife can also track me while I’m out using the gps on trails. If you get a garmin, you can pay for it with your HSA or FSA medical card. Basically my $800
