Is there an entry level camera to "Replace" a Phone?
Unfortunately… there’s probably nothing that fits your needs and budget. Phones have really done a number on the casual photography market, as people who just want snapshots don’t buy cameras anymore. On top of that, phones have such a volume advantage that it’s really hard for camera manufacturers

Direction of the Fujifilm as a company / system
Considering there will always be more hobbyists than pros, I don’t think that’s really the issue. The camera companies can’t exist without them and the sales numbers will always skew more towards hobbyists than pros solely because of the sheer number of camera consumers as a whole vs working profess

Lumix has 10% of the European Full Frame market and is growing
I could have bought a x100vi fujifilm but bought a s9 instead with better lens. The key here is value. The moment they pump prices up with same product the value proposition drops and sales go down. Lumix needs to keep this balance of offering comparable products for less than competition and if the

Learning photography for 1st time: Fujifilm X100VI or better another camera?
I'd actually recommend against the X100VI as your first camera, even though it's hugely popular. The X100VI's 23mm f/2 (35mm equivalent) is a great focal length, but as a beginner, you need to discover what YOU like shooting and what focal lengths work for your style. Being locked into one lens mean

Is the Q2 Monochrom still worth it in 2026 if you have another camera too? (My 24 hrs with the q2m)
I bought the Q2M and then bought a Fujifilm X100vi for any colour work that I might want to do. Had it for six months and the FUJI just sits in the bag as all I ever grab is the Q2M.

I finally got one and now I’m not so sure
The Zf is simply a far more capable device. I love using Voigtlanders on it too. I love closing the rear screen and treating it like a film camera, forgoing chimping. I don't miss fiddling with recipes and trying to figure out which one to use in every scenario. Full Zf thoughts here: https://www.sc

Why are People Switching from Lumix to Fuji?
I'm sure there are ppl who have done the switch from Fujifilm to Lumix. There are disadvantages to the X100Vi . More aggressive marketing by Lumix is probably needed.

Why can't I just get this in digital
Uh, fujifilm X half sounds like exactly what you’re looking for. It’s not X100VI prices (nor quality honestly…)

/r/videography Monthly Camera Buying Advice Megathread

GR IV HDF w/ flash vs Fuji x100 vi w/ black mist filter
That's a good choice. Okay so the honest hard to swallow pill nobody wants to tell you it's that neither Ricoh nor Fujifilm has really made huge leaps since last decade. Anything you buy that was good in 2019 is as competitive with what they make today but with newer chips because Taiwan don't make
