I sorta quit photography by accident.
Get a Fujifilm and call it your creative therapist. There's an awesome community for film simulations and if you are only shooting to capture memories, it's a great camera system for that. I have the X-T5 and an Sony A7RIVA for both purposes. Great images for paying clients too. Cheaper than full fr

Apparently I decided to get back into photography at the wrong time…
I’ve owned a lot of different cameras over the last 50 years…including various Leicas. While Leicas are a joy to use, not one of them has made my photography any better in terms of subject matter or composition. I can assure you, most people who view my portfolio could not differentiate which camera

Learning photography for 1st time: Fujifilm X100VI or better another camera?
I'd actually recommend against the X100VI as your first camera, even though it's hugely popular. The X100VI's 23mm f/2 (35mm equivalent) is a great focal length, but as a beginner, you need to discover what YOU like shooting and what focal lengths work for your style. Being locked into one lens mean

Most manual-like shooting experience on mirrorless?
I know you said full frame, but it sounds like you're looking for a FujiFilm X-T5.

Stuck in upgrade paralysis
Why do you need such great ibis for that use case? I switched from Fuji/sony to Nikon, but I’d probably pick a Sony A7C II or an Fujifilm X-T5 for your use case. The Nikon is much heavier.

Fujifilm XT3 - 7 Year Review
Also had an XT3 similar length of time. Internal battery failed, and I paid to get it replaced by Fujifilm, rather than buy another second hand or jump to XT5. Plenty powerful and capable enough for everything I need. More MPs and IBIS pretty attractive but not really enough for the cost.

Photos at Palo Corona
Haha I wish I had one! I've wanted one for a while, but Fujifilm's is pretty expensive to justify it. My camera (X-T5) has a mode that imitates the tilt-shift lens effect & I was toying with it a little.

Planning to buy first camera
If you can wait for the Fujifilm X-T50, it's amazing. It is as good as the X-T5 but at a lower cost and gives you the complete flexibility in a very very nice form factor.

Need a good camera for scanning textures/materials
Honestly an entry level DSLR is enough. If you're on a budget, the A6400 is good. That's what I use. Higher-mid would be Fujifilm X-T5 High end would be A7R series.

New X-T50 vs Refurbished X-T5
I'd go for the X-T5 if an extended warranty can be purchased from Fujifilm. The dual card slots and bigger battery are nice to have. Unfortunately, some refurbished gear still has issues, but I don't know if that is the case for Fujifilm.
