Photographers who went from Full Frame to APS-C?
I worked as a photographer for ~40 years. In 2013 I switched from Canon FF to Fujifilm, because I needed lighter weight equipment to continue to be physically able to work. The early Fuji cameras had fine image quality but terrible autofocus and user interfaces. But those things improved and the ima

Just found this group [shutter release button] (the screw-on kind) users beware!
As the moderator of r/Fujifilm_X100VI, I've noticed ongoing discussions over time on other subs about soft shutter release buttons (particularly the screw-in accessories like the classic red ones) and claims that they will damage or "destroy" the shutter mechanism on the X100VI or other Fujifilm cam

I sorta quit photography by accident.
Get a Fujifilm and call it your creative therapist. There's an awesome community for film simulations and if you are only shooting to capture memories, it's a great camera system for that. I have the X-T5 and an Sony A7RIVA for both purposes. Great images for paying clients too. Cheaper than full fr

Apparently I decided to get back into photography at the wrong time…
I’ve owned a lot of different cameras over the last 50 years…including various Leicas. While Leicas are a joy to use, not one of them has made my photography any better in terms of subject matter or composition. I can assure you, most people who view my portfolio could not differentiate which camera

Full frame v. Crop Sensor Image Quality?
I just jumped from Fuji XF (X-T5) to Nikon FX (Z5 ii). I loved Fuji, shot it for nearly 5 years, and owned almost all of their lenses at one point or another. So why did I move to Nikon? Because I found that 95% of my shooting with my Fuji (as opposed to my Ricoh pocket cams) was either in service o

Learning photography for 1st time: Fujifilm X100VI or better another camera?
I'd actually recommend against the X100VI as your first camera, even though it's hugely popular. The X100VI's 23mm f/2 (35mm equivalent) is a great focal length, but as a beginner, you need to discover what YOU like shooting and what focal lengths work for your style. Being locked into one lens mean

I'm ditching my x100vi for Mood full time - are you considering getting rid of your expensive camera too? If so, what's the model?
I’m keeping my Fujifilm XT5 but I don’t feel the need to take it with me everywhere anymore. Mood takes such good photos!

First prime lens?
I'm a fan of the 23mm wr f2. It's pretty decent quality and not large in any way. And it's very fun to shoot due to its design (can't quite explain that but it is). At 35mm fov, it's super versatile. You can use the digital zoom on the x-t5 and increase your composition choices for a prime and the 4

13 years in London, first time at the Richmond riverside - and what a day!
Ta! This was on a Fujifilm X-T5 and a Viltrox 27mm f/1.2. Fantastic lens, but a bit large and heavy.
