So who's buying an OM-5 II and why? (Surprise: Me?)
I had just placed my preorder yesterday for the new sand beige version, I think it looks great. I’m actually coming over from the Fujifilm system and the X-S10. I’ve been eyeing OM system for a while now, super intrigued by its compact form factor, IPX rated weather sealing, and computational featur

If money is not an issue what leica should I get? Photography is a hobby for me, i like to travel and take great pictures, i currently have a Fuji x-t5 and I wanna upgrade.
You take great pictures, the camera doesn't. I will always say buy the Leica just because hahaha everyone should have a Leica :) You can upgrade to a lot of things from the X-T5, but your eyes are set on Leica for whatever reason. With all that said, do you need autofocus? Q or SL Don't mind manual

Thinking of Switching FROM Fuji to Nikon
I use both systems extensively. I switch between xt5, z8, xt20, xt 30, etc. If you're not a jpeg soc shooter, it's a significant improvement using Nikon. Full frame files from my z8 beat my xt5 images, despite the small difference in megapixels. I'm not sure what raw editor you use, but Lightroom ne

Severe GAS cleanup: Keep the OM-5 for hiking, or consolidate into Fuji X-T5?
For me it comes down to a combo of which camera feels more natural for me to use, and which has lenses I want to use. I like Fujifilm images but prefer the feel of OM-System cameras and their controls. I could probably get used to Fujifilm though. More importantly, the lenses for m43 have a large se

Switch to Fuji for Lenses?
Even compared to the Z50, I'd say the Fujifilm AF system in their latest cameras leaves something to be desired, especially in terms of reliability (and I say that as someone owned/used Fuji for work from the X-T2 through the X-T5). Agreed there are some enticing Sigma lenses (both FF and APS-C), bu

Is there a reason the first lens in the first photo 50mm f2 is shorter than the second image lens 50mm f2?
Yep! The AF versions are pretty much all identical in size to the manual originals, just with a more plasticky feel. The main reason fast premium lenses are huge is to accommodate the complex array of different glass elements necessary for the sharp and clean images for our increasingly demanding se

Should I switch from Fuji to Nikon?
i learned on an AE-1... the whole retro thing makes very little sense to me i have an X100VI but i like it for its size and what it can do in that small and easy to use package...not the way it looks DP review compared the Zf to a few other cameras The Canon EOS R6 II is still the camera to beat in

Extreme close ups of a couple of Anna’s Hummingbirds. Enjoy!
This is amazing! How close are you to the bird that at 100mm you can crop this close and get good results? Or does the sensor have that much resolution? I have a 600mm lens with my fujifilm xt5 and I don’t think I’ve gotten a photo at 15 feet away from a hunmingbird that I could crop this hard and s

Nikon vs Fujifilm?
I switched from fuji xt5 to nikon zf and the nikon is a million times better in just about every single way for anyone who cares to learn about learning the camera rather than just shooting with it The autofocus, low light performance, lenses, adapting glass, and build quality feels way better on ev

Is Fujifilm enough for a career in photography?
to put it simply : the 40MP sensor is reading out slower. That limits what you can do with it. The only real advantage you have is resolution, which the X-H2 can take advantage of with 8K video, but the X-T5 lacks CFXB cards, so it's limited to the cropped in 6.2K video capture, unlike the X-H2.
