I sorta quit photography by accident.

Get a Fujifilm and call it your creative therapist. There's an awesome community for film simulations and if you are only shooting to capture memories, it's a great camera system for that. I have the X-T5 and an Sony A7RIVA for both purposes. Great images for paying clients too. Cheaper than full fr

Birthday gift help! Which option would you pick?

Fujifilm X-T5 would be my choice, film simulations are great fun.

Owned/shoot both X-T5 and Zf? Regrets for travel & street vs full-frame performance?

I also contemplated these very same options, and I chose the X-T5. The X-T5 is more than all the features you listed, it is access to the entire Fujifilm X-System. The body, sensor and user experience of the X-T5 are only half the reason for my purchase; the X Mount prime lenses were the other. The

Full frame v. Crop Sensor Image Quality?

I just jumped from Fuji XF (X-T5) to Nikon FX (Z5 ii). I loved Fuji, shot it for nearly 5 years, and owned almost all of their lenses at one point or another. So why did I move to Nikon? Because I found that 95% of my shooting with my Fuji (as opposed to my Ricoh pocket cams) was either in service o

What is your favorite photograph you've taken and why?

This is one I took last year off while walking the Brooklyn Bridge at sunset with my wife. This is no edits, straight out of camera. No tripod, just run-and -gun while holding my wife’s hand. I like it because it’s super contrasty and punchy while giving a cool look at the same time. Fujifilm X-T5 w

Any film recommendations for rainy days?

I live in the perpetually rainy and grey United Kingdom, and usually find that UltraMax works best for all kinds of conditions https://fujixweekly.com/2023/01/17/kodak-ultramax-400-a-film-simulation-recipe-for-the-fujifilm-x-t5-x-trans-v/

Can Sony Ever Feel Like Fuji?

I don't think that's quite it but maybe a club-handed shorthand? I shoot both sony (a74, a6600, rx100v) and fujifilm X-T5. I like them both and use them differently. The crop sensors are more portable with smaller glass so they are great for travel, either the sony or the fujifilm. I use the full fr

Anyone using the s9 mainly for photo? Or is everyone here typically video?

I think that's the main struggle- being on Instagram and Reddit and seeing all of the beautiful pictures other people take on other cameras. I have to say I always instantly know when a Fujifilm photo shows up in my feed, at least with the xt5 sensor. It just has this super smooth and detailed look.

Saw some red winged black birds at pella crossing park today

Yep, Fujifilm X-T5. Fully digital with Film simulations. Tasteful recreation of film styles from the film giants themselves
