What the dark night sky looks like now due to Starlink satellites

Thank you so much. I've been doing Astro more seriously since 5 to 6 years ago, so this is kind of a culmination of that I've learner over the past few years. Altought to be honest I haven't evolved much since 2022. You can shoot the milky way with almost anything, I've done it with the phone and th

looking to buy birding camera

I started 2 years ago with a Fujifilm X-T5 and the Fujinon 70-300mm. Since I also had a background with old film camera I went with Fuji Mirrorless for the vintage approach. You can find the 70-300mm (which gives you an equivalent to a 100-450mm since the sensor is APS-C) pretty cheap if you look fo

Birding Photographers, what are you using?

I think it depends a bit what you are wanting to do. If you want to get photos of birds or other wildlife to help you ID them or review them later, you won’t need as much gear as if you want to get really high quality, beautiful pictures of birds that are nice enough to print out and hang on your wa

Can’t stop Fat Gecko mount from moving / pivoting with camera attached?

I have that same mount and I use it on the exterior of cars pretty often, sometimes going up to 45mph. I personally have not had it drift as you describe. However I also have what I imagine is a much lighter set up with Fujifilm X-T4, smaller lens, and no additional accessories on the body. I sugges

Got my hands on my first Fuji camera

My first and only Fujifilm, I'll never sell it, it's so small and powerful, I'll buy soon an x-t4 but I'll never sell this one! Great pics, I also shoot a lot with manual and vintage lenses and it behaves really well. Great travel or street photography camera! And you did a good choice for the lense

Will I regret trading my Fuji X-T4 for an Olympus E-M5 Mark III? Talk me out of (or into) this decision

Light performance is more about your choice of lenses and the pixel size of the sensor than the sensor size. For example, your X-T4 uses a 26 MP sensor, it would be a 13 MP sensor on m43 of the same generation. So, lighting performance wouldn't be a full stop difference, hence can easily be covered

Why is Lumix always never mentioned when it comes to camera brands?

I'd like to go slightly further than you. Literally about specific pieces of hardware. You can't really compare brands. Like for example... Ex. Fujifilm GFX 100 II is super sexy. But super pricey. XT4 is a little miracle of technology when you think about it, especially for the price... But weirdly

Small prime lens to buy ??(for mostly street)

In my experience, the 23mm f/1.4 or 23mm f/2 will suit your requested use case as the focal length will allow you to continue to shoot concerts, while also being an excellent lens for street, portrait, or just candid snap shots of the family. The f/1.4 is the more professional option, with better su
