Ricoh GRIV: Right for Me?

Looking at your selection of photos I assume you prefer tighter focal lengths. Maybe instead of gr4 look into gr3x. Other option but not as compact is fujifilm cameras, x-t50 and x-e5 are small and you can put any lens on them or you can check out x100vi for a compact with built in lens. Also recent

Should i buy xm5?

Lots of people on this sub will tell you not to get the X-M5. It's all relative bullshit. The X-M5 is a great camera. Pair it with a pancake lens and it's so easy to fit in a jacket pocket or throw in a bag. And once you get the hang of it the sensor can produce incredible photos right out of the ca

Should i buy xm5?

Great photos on your iPhone 13 Pro. You will do well moving over to a Fuji body. The X-M5 is well priced package. Hard to beat for buying new. Older Fujis will still have pretty close image quality as advancements in sensor tech hasn’t really changed that much. For instance an image from an X-T2 or

The X Half is not made for you

To do various things? Fujifilms X-M5 is a great camera, it's the same price but it still needs a lens. But it does great video, photos, has lots of features more than then X-Half. Has the film simulators. It doesn't have the same rangefinder style body or a EVF. if you value the aesthetic and rangef

what fujifilm should i get as a beginner

If the lack of a viewfinder doesn't bother you, go for the Fujifilm X-M5. You can pay a small amount extra to get the X-T30 III, which has a viewfinder. Both are great.

Looking to buy one of these cameras for edc - S9 vs X100VI

I was stuck between choosing Fujifilm x-m5, sony a6700, and Lumix S9 for my first camera. I decided on the S9 just cause getting a FF at the price was too good

Direction of the Fujifilm as a company / system

It’s kinda beating the death. Fujifilm has their build quality better than others, so the price is somewhat justified. The point of aps-c is cheaper is not really the case to all other manufactures either. I wouldn’t not exactly calling Nikon, Pentax, Sony, Ricoh, Leica APS-C lineup any cheaper on t

Recommend a camera for a beginner hybrid shooting?

Lumix S5IIX. Wait, you said beginner and SM, in that case Fujifilm X-M5. But your phone would best if you're doing it purely for SM. SM downsizes images to 2 MP.

Good rangefinder cameras for between $500-$800 used?

It's too vague of a question. What is "good"? Turns on and takes pictures and 16 megapixels is fine? Or must have many megapixels and film sims and IBIS and AI and best autofocus ever? Do you mean "actual integrated mechanical-optical rangefinder"? Because you will only get that from Fujifilm on old

Fujifilm X-M5 as my first camera?

If you don’t need a viewfinder, the X-M5 is the best value among new Fujifilm cameras right now. It will last a long time. Get the 15-45mm kit lens and an autofocus Viltrox lens when you want more bokeh, and you can have a lot of fun as a beginner: I recommend the 35mm F1.7 or 56mm F1.7. If you find
