I love the idea and overall look & functionality of the X-M5. For anyone wanting to start their Fujifilm journey, it's a great starting point. I really wish that weather sealing wasn't such an expensive thing to add to cameras... Considering it's a travel camera, it would be a great addition. Great

It’s kinda beating the death. Fujifilm has their build quality better than others, so the price is somewhat justified. The point of aps-c is cheaper is not really the case to all other manufactures either. I wouldn’t not exactly calling Nikon, Pentax, Sony, Ricoh, Leica APS-C lineup any cheaper on t

It's too vague of a question. What is "good"? Turns on and takes pictures and 16 megapixels is fine? Or must have many megapixels and film sims and IBIS and AI and best autofocus ever? Do you mean "actual integrated mechanical-optical rangefinder"? Because you will only get that from Fujifilm on old

If you don’t need a viewfinder, the X-M5 is the best value among new Fujifilm cameras right now. It will last a long time. Get the 15-45mm kit lens and an autofocus Viltrox lens when you want more bokeh, and you can have a lot of fun as a beginner: I recommend the 35mm F1.7 or 56mm F1.7. If you find

I would suggest the X-T3. Build quality is much nicer, you get a high quality EVF, and you can often find them for the same price or less than the X-M5. I know the X-M5 is billed as a "beginner" model, and it's a fine camera. But I think the overall fit and finish of the X-T3 (plus the viewfinder) m

I'm going to record a video on it today. I've been putting off making a video. As someone who owns or has owned the X-M5, X-S20, S9 and S5II/X, I see them mentioned a lot in the same circles over and over again. Long story short, ergonomics, reliability, build quality, features. Very broad, I know,

I’m also based in Canada and shop in CAD. if you think the x100vi would be a better choice. Most likely no, especially not for a beginner because right now, you simply don’t know what focal length(s) you prefer to shoot with. Unless you are 100% sure that the 35mm focal length is what you prefer for

I don’t think 8.5k is too bad. My GR is at 23K after 3 years and I also bought it used. I just saw that you are getting into photography and I will say that the Ricoh is premium camera that is kind of a glass cannon. Takes great photos but prone to dust and is a little fragile. You can get a fantast

Sou Fuji ...
