Crap and avoid. I am a pancake collector have pretty much every pancake since film era. The pancake I like is Fujifilm 23 and 27. I wouldn’t even consider Fujifilm 18/2. Oh! I also love voigtlander 18 and 27. I found out if I let go a little. Viltrox is “bigger yet ultra light” on that 15/1.7 and ev

I’m a very casual photographer with more budget than skill. I’ve dabbled with MFT, Sony A7Rii, fancy point and shoots (RX1Rii, Ricoh GRii, X100F and IV) and now the X-E5. I’d agree that I think dollar for dollar the Sony offerings provide more raw performance. With a little practice and various exer

Yes the X-E5 can shoot clean images. Go to dpreview.com, go to the image quality section, and look at the photos of their test scene. I can promise you they won’t have added grain. You can also use the “compare” function to show the images shot using other options side by side. https://m.dpreview.co

Amazing photos, cinematic gold feels perfect here. Also love the prints, great to have something physical. I have shared your post to r/Fujifilm_X_E5, would be great if you'd consider posting there in the future! ✌️

If you have an inkling that you like the X half good chance you'd probably really like it. I got it on sale, and even then, knowing full well I am overpaying for the technical aspects. You're in part paying for the Fujifilm brand and the film sims, but you're also committing to the formalistic exper

That is if you not interested in learning the fundamentals - also, your statement is then true for most DSLRs as well. The big difference, and this is the key in my opinion, if you buy into a system it will then be expensive to change. Since all major camera manufacturers changed the mount when goin

The great thing about Fuji is that all cameras with the 40MP fifth-generation sensor can produce identical images, as long as you use the same settings and the same lens. If you compare the X100VI, X-E5, and X-T5, you’d need to use a 23mm f2 lens, since the X100VI uses that focal length. The result

X-T5 is big. You want X-E5 if you want electronic viewfinder and higher photo image quality, X-M5 if you want absolute smallest (and also cheaper, but really intended for video) https://cameradecision.com/compare/Fujifilm-X-E5-vs-Fujifilm-X-T5 https://cameradecision.com/compare/Fujifilm-X-E5-vs-Fuji

totally agree. i wanted what OP is saying here and ended up getting a Fujifilm X-E5 with the XF 33 1.4. the SOOC 40MP HEICs are beautiful. of course, they don’t beat edited RAWs (also, it’s nice to have access to their profiles in LR), but they are more than sufficient in most cases.

Thank you and absolutely! Mostly because it’s very simple. I have a Fujifilm X-E5 and these photos are all JPEGs directly out of the camera with editing or processing whatsoever. I throw them in Lightroom to get the border and that’s it.
