I have a $2k budget. I'd like something compact, fixed lens, and something that can shoot < 30MP. Additional details inside. What are my options, and what's your recommendation?

Yeah sounds like Fujifilm. Small APSC cameras, great quality, great colours, very big selection of small prime lenses that can give full frame-like results. Either an X100F/V/VI if you can find one, or like an XE3/4/5 or XM5 with one of their smaller primes. Even the XT30/30II/50 are much smaller th

Finally joined Fuji Gang 🙌

X-T2 is a very solid camera. Last one built in Japan. It has improvements over the X-T1 including better doors/ports (doors are more secure), locking iso and shutter speed dials (so handy and prevents accidental changes), also has dual card slots. It feels a bit more solid than the X-H1. Though the

Xe4 vs x100v vs xt30

I love my XE3 and I think it’s still a great value. 24 megapixels is enough, I’ve printed 20x30 photos no problem. And I don’t like the lack of switches on the xe4, in particular they removed the focus mode switch, so you can’t switch between single shot/continuous/manual focus modes without menu di

What is a good option low budget camera for nature photography?

Wildlife specifically usually requires long lenses that can be quite expensive, so I recommend buying an older camera body, used, and spending more money on a better lens. A kit zoom is fine for most beginners, but again, not so much for wildli

What is the best rangefinder type body for travel?

Something like a Fujifilm xe3 coupled with one of the kit lenses and maybe a 27mm 2.8 pancake lens or a 35mm f2 would fit the bill. Solid kit and in your budget range

Nikkor 70-200 f/2.8 FL ED, purple fringing problem

Not at all. CA is not something you only counter at 300%. I have 8 quality lenses in my bag. Five are native Z lenses Including the 70-200 2.8. Including the 50/1.2 which I use wide open 90% of the time. None of them show any CA as seen in this photo. Neither did any of my previous gen lenses I used
