Can we please consolidate all “what camera should I buy” type threads?

The GFX 100 II is the ultimate newbie and beginner camera. Hear me out , the GFX lenses will resolve 100MP so you know they are sharp, you can create sub- 1mm DoF for ultimate obliterated bokeh, and with 100MP images you have almost unlimited cropping options so your 28mm FF equivalent lens can easi

soda changes streaming forever ($11k camera)

Sweet baby Jesus, a 102MP medium format camera. That's a really nice camera. https://www.ronmartblog.com/2024/11/review-fujifilm-gfx100s-ii-with-gf-45.html Looks like ~$8500 for the body, ~$2300 for that nice glass.

After 5 years I finally solved the sharpness/chromatic aberration problem with color IR/mixed spectrum

Once you solve hotspots, then how soft all mixed spectrum images look will start to drive you crazy. Normal lenses are not designed to focus IR and visible at the same point, so you get chromatic aberration that is an issue even in visible but on steroids adding a huge section of the spectrum to the

New Sony Camera announced: RXR1 III (A Premium Full-Frame)

Why would someone with more than 3 brain cells get this instead of of the cheaper 100mp medium format Fuji GFX 100 RF ? 1 extra stop (MF f/4 vs. FF f/2) 30% lighter / a bit smaller. The GFX100RF also has advantages, but there's a market that the RX1R III fits better.

APS-C vs Medium format

Do you have the money for GFX 100s II and the necessary lenses? The costs are double that of the APS-C Fujifilm cams. Go for it, if you do.

Did anybody choose between the GFX100RF & other digital medium formats? What did you choose and why?

I'm an enthusiast photographer who shoots studio, stills and moving, street and peoples. My main body is a old dslr with many lenses, the Nikon D610. For my projects, I need a bigger sensor camera. When came time to choose between the RF and an another digital MF (X2D or GFX100S system), the main re

Undecided about Digital MF

I print that size. With 100mp, it’s plenty to get great details even up close. 50mp is still very acceptable, but there is a noticeable difference. I use a GFX 100 S II. For me, I like shooting handheld, so IBIS is important. I think X2D and 100 Ii has similar IBIS, with the GFX 100 having faster au

Is the AF-C of the X2Dll really like that?

The AF-C is impressive for Hasselblad, but Fujifilm's GFX 100 II still has better autofocus performance. I own a GFX 100 II (and an X2D) and have tested the X2D II against it; Fujifilm's GFX 100 Ii consistently outperforms the X2D II in most situations. The only time the X2D II beats the GFX 100 II
