I'd probably sell the Sony and get 2 x GFX100s. Only fujifilm's auto focus can achieve this

If you have the time and the capital, I feel like you could get this deal, sell off EVERYTHING piecemeal except for the glass you actually like, and source a used GFX 100 II or S II (for meaningfully better AF) and still have some pocket change in the end.

OP here: Styled & shot this test with Gabi. I was still on the road/overseas so these are all using my minimal work kit: GFX100RF, Zhiyun X100RGB, Neewer GC30C, Godox iT30Pro, 2x Neewer MT-79 stands. Our location for this shoot ended up reading MUCH darker than I had anticipated due to cloud cover t

Once you solve hotspots, then how soft all mixed spectrum images look will start to drive you crazy. Normal lenses are not designed to focus IR and visible at the same point, so you get chromatic aberration that is an issue even in visible but on steroids adding a huge section of the spectrum to the

I have both, for quick candid things where I need to capture things at a moments notice, I choose the X100VI. For travel, every day/day to day slow moments where I'm not rushing to grab the camera, it's the GFX100RF. I've never been unhappy with the lack of IBIS or F4 lens, but that's because I shoo

I was shooting full frame. Canons for almost 10 years, switch to Sony for 5-6 years and now I am using Phase One IQ3 100mp and Fuji GFX 100 II. The reason I switched to Phase One was to slow the pace a lil bit and to precise more my shots. I do mostly commercial photography for campaigns and I shoot

Yeah, it’s mostly about file size and responsiveness. The GFX 100 II files are massive. 16-bit RAWs that can easily hit 200MB+ each, so importing, previewing, and editing can slow down even a solid machine. Also, the whole shooting pace just changes. AF isn’t as instant, buffer takes longer to clear

Only used the GFX 100 II a handful of times, I have more experience with the 100S. But generally yes it is. however, Fuji boot time is half a second faster. GFX shooting speeds are higher (up to 8 vs 3 fps on X2D II) but I’m always in single shot mode for 16 bit anyways so it actually doesn’t matter

I'm a professional cinematographer but was a fine art and commercial photographer, I'm making the same decision right now, i've used both also the z9 and zr as well. I shoot all kinds of material but work on some wildlife doc's and either one will excel at the advanced hobbyist wildlife role. I'd ta
