Seeking a recommendation for over-the-ear headphones 🎧
Currently using a set of Focal Celestee that I love to death! By far the best set I have owned, but they are pretty expensive, though! Crazy presentation of Phish! Tons of detail and separation with a huge bottom end that makes them sound HUGE and amazing. Can't say enough good things about em!

RANT: Problemas no mundo CHI-FI

Looking for a more resolving complement to the Bokeh Closed
Thanks, I would not rule Focal out at all to be honest. Before moving to the Bokeh I had a bit of a journey through wireless headphones. I came from the Sony WH-1000XM6, tried the B&W PX8 S2 which I found too boomy with a bit too much treble or sibilance, then the Audeze Maxwell which I actually rea

Sennheiser 620S on sale at 299$ in Canada
When I bought the HD620S last year, there were so little alternatives that I considered the Focal Azurys (it was just released at the time), The Focal Celestee (quite expensive but still in the competition) and the Focal Elegia (cheaper alternative to Celestee which remplaced it but was still availa

Exclusive mode or eq?
For my Focal celestee they go from an average closed back to superb. The clear mg’s open up a lot too. I like to use the crinacle eq settings.

Looking for advice, going from OpenBack to ClosedBack
1770 if you have a proper amp. The 770 Pro X has a rather V-shaped response so not suited to your needs. If you are willing to do other brands the Focal Celestee or Azurys, Shure 840A, and AKG 371 are all neutral. The main difference the the materials they are made from and the shape of the ear cups

Got some new Schiit
How loud is your house? I have the Celestee, Stellia, and Utopia, and all are superb. I've used the Celestee & Stellia with my digital piano, and being closed backs they have been great at blocking out room / family noise while still delivering fantastic sound (i.e., balance, clarity, depth, immersi

Complimentary headphones question.
Not sure what your budget is, and this might not be the sound you're looking for...but Focal Celestee are a really well-balanced closed-back headphone. They are highly detailed, but not overly so - they have a very fun, engaging sound with balanced highs, mids & lows. Cost should be around $1k. Foca

Focal Bathys vs PX8 S2
I have the Bathys and just got the original PX8. I wanted something more inconspicuous for my train ride into St Louis. I’ve compared them both and decided I like the sound of the B&W more. I think part of it is that I just don’t care for the Focal sound in general. I had previously tried the Clears

In a blind test, audiophiles couldn't tell the difference between audio signals sent through copper wire, a banana, or wet mud
My Focal Celestees sound very different to my Bose QC Ultras (and they fit your price points).
