Bambu Lab 3D printers contain a kill switch. After upgrading the 3D printer to a higher model, you need remote activation of the new board

Snapmaker U1, flashforge creator 5, both way better for multi material printing, and these are 3d printers, bc what's the point of sticking to one company again? And for budget option - sovol zero. I own one, i know people love to say it's printer you need to tinker a bit, but plain is good enough a

Looking for a good multicolor printer

I would look into the Snapmaker U1 or the Flashforge Creator 5 pro. The U1 has been out for a while and has a good community and good support. More Creator 5 reviews are trickling out now. Both of these machines are Tool Changers. This means that they can print multicolor with little to no waste, un

Upgrading from the A1 to either the P2S or the X2D... Opinions?

Worth noting that for basically the price of an X2D combo you could get the flashforge creator 5 pro, which is an enclosed four-head toolchanger with the same build volume, 320C nozzle and a heated chamber. If you think there's a chance that you want to do multicolour in any serious way in the futur

X2D vs P2S

X2D has the dual nozzle which I think is well worth it. It also has finer pitched belts that reduce VFA’s. I can’t see any reason to go with the P2s other than it’s $100 cheaper. Also I would seriously consider the Flashforge Creator 5 Pro or the snapmaker u1. I also have a p1s but for multicolor pr

Looking at buying a bambu x2d.. have question.

The x2d isn't really a multi colour printer. It could do it, it would be fine, but its not really what its meant for. If you just want multi colour look at the snapmaker u1 or flashforge creator 5.

What's The Best 3D Printer For a Beginner Right Now?

If I was to buy a new printer now I would buy a toolchanger. Like the Snapmaker U1 or the Flashforge Creator 5 if you have a budget. There is no good reason to buy a printer from the last 1 or even 2 generations in my opinion. I think you would regret such a decision in max 1 year at least I know I'

First 3d printer P1S or P2S?

How flexible is your budget? If you want multicolor, something like the Snapmaker U1 or Flashforge Creator 5 will be way better for multicolor and waste way less filament. Over time, that can make up the price difference. I'd also stay away from Bambu in general. The company keeps doing shady stuff.

Asking for advice for a new printer

If your main focus is multi color you should go with a toolchanger like Snapmaker U1 or Flashforge Creator 5/pro. They are significantly faster with multi color/multi filament prints. They have less build volume though. Creator 5 pro also has better engineering filament capabilities. Bambu cloud isn

P2S or X2D

Yep, and the P1S is still excellent and can be easily upgraded with a chamber heater (plus aftermarket hotends to add quick-swap nozzles etc) for a not hugely significant amount of money. They're still selling the P1S on the UK store and it's just slightly more expensive than the A1. Excellent machi
