Upgrading from the A1 to either the P2S or the X2D... Opinions?
Worth noting that for basically the price of an X2D combo you could get the flashforge creator 5 pro, which is an enclosed four-head toolchanger with the same build volume, 320C nozzle and a heated chamber. If you think there's a chance that you want to do multicolour in any serious way in the futur

Looking for a good multicolor printer
In the below 1500 range, I would suggest the Snapmaker u1.Base printer is 900.The top is 150, and won't ship for 4-5 months. He can use a plastic tote in the meantime (we're all doing that).Hardened nozzles are super helpful. The base nozzles can't handle glow in the dark, wood infused, and so on as

P2S or X2D
Yep, and the P1S is still excellent and can be easily upgraded with a chamber heater (plus aftermarket hotends to add quick-swap nozzles etc) for a not hugely significant amount of money. They're still selling the P1S on the UK store and it's just slightly more expensive than the A1. Excellent machi

Looking for a good multicolor printer
No problem. The only way to do proper multi-material is with a toolchanger (it uses multiple nozzles vs a single nozzle with the old filament getting pulled back and a new one being introduced during a swap), which means your selection is fairly limited at the moment. There is the Flashforge Creator

Questions before I buy one.
Nothing shady going on with the software from Flashforge, at least not more shady than other companies. The stuff online about "closing down" the software is mostly clickbait and has been exaggerated. Otherwise, agree with the other comments. I'm waiting for my creator 5 pro pre-order, I want a heat

Snapmaker or Flashforge?
I spent a lot of time (probably too much) debating which to get and I finally went with the Creator 5 Pro... the included enclosure with a heated chamber for much less money made my decision. My first printer was a Voxelab Aquila, made by Flashforge, and was a workhorse while one of my most recent p

Snapmaker u1 vs. Flashforge creator 5 pro
Wow, this is making me feel better about getting a creator 5 pro. I had been looking at a lot of printers for around $750 and I was narrowed down to U1, C5P and a bambu printer then decided it was either flashforge or snapmaker and really thought the u1 was going to be the one I chose because of its

What’s a good 3D printer? Start up business. TIA
SnapMaker U1 or the new FlashForge Creator 5 would fit the bill. It’s a 4 nozzle tool changer. The U1 is $949 on Amazon and ships immediately. The Creator 5 is brand new and you may have to wait a couple months to receive it, but it’s $699 or $799 I can’t remember for sure. The Creator 5 Pro which i
