It comes out of the box pretty squared away. There are things you can do to improve the print quality, performance, etc., but my recommendation would be to follow the included setup guide and then try a few things out for yourself just to get the experience under your belt. Once you've worked with t

Way better method of monitoring your printer remotely than Flashforges awful app. Better control over just about every aspect of your printer. Bed mesh function that allows you to make sure your bed is physically level, which makes the auto-level way more accurate and prints come out better. Select

I would definitely start with the FlashForge wiki, and then on to YouTube. Tons OB videos out there and the get very specific to the printers. AD5M is a good starter to pick up on the 3d hobby — it’s not overly complex and does a decent job. I had one for about a year and then moved to mostly Bambu

I’ve had great results with PETG on my ad5m. Used it when printing the enclosure and now it’s my primary filament choice for the extra durability it provides over PLA. I used FlashForge’s branded filament for the enclosure with the default settings and it printed great. I now typically use SUNLU bra

The AD5M and orca flash forge are fucking nuts in terms of what it pulls off with remarkably default settings

No, flash print is slicing software, which is what formats the models for the printer. If you want to do designs there are some free options. Tinkercad is a good place to do some simple and free cad. Also I would recommend Orca or Orca-forge as a slicer instead of flash print. Better options and it

My son just got a spool of FlashForge flexible PLA yesterday. He loaded it on his AD5M, printed an airless ping pong ball in about 45 minutes with the stock PLA settings in Orca Slice. I was figuring he was going to be fighting it for days. Pleasantly surprised with the performance.

I appreciate the initiative, but does no one know how to use Snipping Tool (Windows) or CMD+Shift+4 (Mac) to take a screenshot? The blur on some of those pics just made my eyes cross. For anyone that doubt the 300BLK settings, it’s possible you either haven’t tried it or don’t have your machine cali

It's definitely 220x220x220mm build volume I have one with around 700 hours on it and they are great until they start having issues. Support sucks imo and I've had to replace my nozzle/hot end, extruder cable, and extruder board all within 3 months of owning it. I believe either the cable or board h

I love how when someone is happy with something they bought and got rid of something you think is better must mean they are too stupid to use LAN. You are grossly uneducated and if you really have a CC that prints "about half the time" then sure, get a Bambu. Evidently simple maintenance and underst
