Lost in the abyss of grinder options
Great advice. What do you like? Dark Roast Traditional or light roast specialty or Yes. I like it all!!! Dark roasts are pretty forgiving meaning personal preference. Cost, looks, support, etc come into play here and that's about it. Could be a conical or flat burr. It's Med Light and Light roasts w

Alternative to baratza encore
Check out the Femobook A2 if you get a chance. Have really been digging mine. Right around $100. Small form factor, quiet, and intentionally low RPM. Very well thought out.

espresso grinders [give or take $100]
Best option if you dont want to hand grind is the Femobook A2, "hands down." $99 to $109. It is a very good grinder, well made, electric, and compact. Only downside is it takes about 2 min to grind for a double shot. The next best option is going with a Kingrinder K6 and drill. Otherwise you need to

Just squeezed in barely... Gaggia E24 is here but the temu grinder is not gonna cut it...
The femobook a2 - 99$ from new. It’s noisy, some retention and its slow. But even light roast go through it, and it’s consistent.

[MOD] The Daily Question Thread
Updated Lido grinders have external size adjustment, if that's the upgrade you're looking for. Asser Christensen did a recent video review of "reasonably priced hand grinders" here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Kb0wQxi6PU ranked into categories of expected usage, well worth watching. Anything to know about the Outin Fino, Femobook A2, Timemore Whirly grinders for espresso?
Still waiting on the Fino. Should be here later today. I did get the Oxo Brew this morning, but realized very quickly that it's actually a countertop model not a portable device. It's huge and heavy! Oops. 🙄😅 I will say the Timemore is VERY slow. It took 5 1/2 minutes to grind 18g of medium roast be
