Continue to wait for fellow espresso series one, or move on to something else? [$3,500]

Reliability of Series 1 is our number 1 priority. The reason for the shift in mass production was so that we didn't need to make the machine get a performance hit to meet our goals. We accelerate life test everything to meet a MINIMUM 5 year bar (this doesn't mean the product breaks after 5 years, i

Start Small or Buy Once, Cry Once? [$2500+]

So right now is a good time to start browsing the buy and sell forums/EAF discord. People are starting to get their Zerno Z2 and are going to be parting with the Z1 with multiple burr sets. I saw one the other day for $1300 with 3 burr sets. That leaves $1200 for a new espresso machine. If you can s

Turned my Wendougee Lita into a (poor man's) Decent — v2 with a proper UI

I am very tempted by this machine, and seeing people like yourself doing things like this makes me even more excited. With the Wendougee Lita and what Fellow has done with the Series 1, all of the advanced features are becoming available for the masses.

First machine. Decent DE1pro, Meticulous or ECM Purisitika w/flow control? [5,000$]

The Fellow ES1 is probably worth a go. Looks to be very capable, and the price is right.

New setup

The decent is my favorite home espresso machine IF you want to prioritize modern and light roast espresso. If you are mostly a medium dark - dark roast person it doesn’t really matter which machine you have after a certain point. Most darker roast espresso performs well with the standard 9bar flat s

ASCASO Steel DUO PID vs FELLOW Espresso Series 1

Short answer (my opinion): If you are more traditional or casual with your espresso then go with the Ascaso. If you are more creative or like to experiment with your espresso then get the Fellow ES1. Long answer (my reasoning): I’ve had the ascaso for 6 years now and it still makes excellent espress

What is a 'buy it for life' item that is offensively expensive, but the moment you use it, you realize your entire life before that point was a lie?

Espresso machine. I used to live next to a coffee shop and spent about $5 a day on drinks. So I ended up buying an espresso machine and grinder. The niche grinder i bought was about $500 and the Breville espresso machine was also about $500 but I just upgraded to a new Fellow Series 1 machine for $1

Opus 2 Best Buy

I got a chance to play around with one of these at a fellow es1 class. let me tell you, for $200, there is nothing on the market even close to it. the stepless adjustment is maybe a touch too firm, but the action is smooth and its the right balance between dialing in to exactly where you want it, bu
