The Fellow Fix™ A New Innovation From Fellow Customer Service - r/JamesHoffman Redux

Your support headaches are the reason I stopped sending my Ode Gen 2 back and forth for repairs (motors keep seizing) and decided to literally toss it off a cliff and replace it with a Sculptor 064S. That said, I also have an Aiden and it DOES make good coffee. I got mine in March of 2025 and I don'

Swap Micra for Fellow Series 1?

As a micra (office) and de1 (home) I wouldn’t trade the micra for a es1. My main gripe with it is the creator said it’s designed to never be opened or service and should only need a Descale. All machines and components will fail with time, and the fellow can ve opened and replaced. And if you know a

Rate my **FOR DISPLAY ONLY** setup

Man I have been seeing a flood of posts about how Fellow products just break or do not work. Grinders spilling, groupheads not producing water or water not being the right temp as advertised. I was considering buying the ES1 because its a beautiful looking machine but all of these reviews give me pa

I don’t think Fellow is getting the movement on Espresso Series 1 that they expected

Anecdotal data point. I would have sold my Lelit Bianca and bought the Espresso Series 1 asap if my Aiden experience wasn’t as bad. Such a fragile design is already unacceptable for a $350 machine and I currently don’t trust Fellow with a $1000+ machine.

Upgraded from Bambino plus and smart grinder

At first, it was the ease of use and compatibility with the Breville Pro grinder. The dosage was preset, and it would grind directly into the portafilter—all I had to do was tamper. Great feature, and the same can be said about the automatic milk frothing. The ES1 definitely feels more substantial,

What would you do?

You’re right that I haven’t used an ES1. I have used other Fellow products. I do enjoy what I have but I would also say they’re wildly overpriced for what they are…and the Stagg and Aiden certainly have build quality issues and low repairability for the average consumer. Hopefully the ES1 proves to

Interview with nicholasnumbers

big fan of nick's, but fair game on Fellow's cost-cutting enshit-ification of what are otherwise well-designed and cleverly engineered stuff. Would it be possible to ask if Fellow has heard the criticisms of their manufacturing quality/nickel squeezing (as a distinct aspect of product design, often

Unibody Portafilter AMA

I don’t know. It’s the portafilter that comes with the Fellow ES1. The basket falls out really easy. Kind of a crap design. The portafilter on my flair 58 holds its basket wonderfully and it doesn’t come out unless I press both thumbs through the bottom.

Red Fellow One Espresso Machine [$1599]

Personally, I would never buy a v1 product from a company that has no established history making that product. Fellow also has a sub-par reputation when it comes to build and software reliability. I don’t think the ES1 is user serviceable either, which would be a big reason for not getting it. Just

Fellow ES1 vs WPM Primus [2000€]

I have watched a ton of Fellow ES1 videos, reviews and reddit, and while waiting for the preorder to start, someone told me about WPM Primus and I was instantly sold. Now I got it for about 7 months and can't find a reason to dislike it. Why I would avoid the fellow - there are a lot of negative exp
