Is Eufy really that bad?
I've been with Eufy for some years now. It's been my security for three homes, along with protecting various family members to whom I've recommended it. No company or product created in mass quantities is going to be perfect. You'll always hear more from disgruntled customers than you will from happ

This thing is even worse than Ring.
I switched from Ring and couldn’t be happier with eufy. It could be how you have your settings. I’ve had my E340 doorbell for a while now and it’s been working perfectly. It detects the mailman every day and every person that walks in front of my house. The pet detection works great too. I see stray

Eufy E340 doorbell - absolute garbage
What motion detection settings are turned on, and what’s the sensitivity level at? There are a lot of settings to adjust. My E340 doorbell works great and captures everyone. I also have mine connected to a eufy HomeBase 3.

New Eufy User
I am one month into the eufy experience and I too started reading groups like this in more depth after purchase and wondered the same thing. Remember, 90% of the people that run to the internet do so looking for answers on troubleshooting and then a subset of that 90% aren't satisfied with the produ

For anyone looking to buy the E340 doorbell
I have an E340 for almost a year now and love it. No reliability issues, Love the features and ease of use. I have since installed a base station, 2 outdoor camera flood lights. A garage light. I have also purchased two indoor cameras but haven't installed yet. I like the eufy product so far.

Motion Sensor Floodlights that Work in the Winter
The problem with the flood lights is the PIR sensor (Passive Infrared) they just don't work then it's -25 or colder. You'd need a different sensor such as a ultrasonic or microwave sensor. Neither are easy to find nor cheap.Best alternative is to move to a camera based system that has for human / ve

Should I return it?
My eufy system has been working great for me. I don’t have the NVR system but my E340 doorbell, HomeBase 3, S340, and E30 have all been working great. It’s definitely better than Ring which I had for many years.

Eufy E340 Doorbell Issues
My E340 doorbell works great. I do have it connected to a eufy HomeBase 3. I switched from Ring also and am really happy with my eufy system. I get notifications for anyone who walks up to my door or walks by on the sidewalk. I did have to hardwire it because I live on a busy street and the battery

Eufy vs Ring door bell quality, reliability and durability?
My first doorbell was a Ring used for 3-4 years, then Blink for another 3-4 years and now I am on the eufy E340 and I love it. That said, it is much more powerful functionally and more complex to use and configure than the budget Ring and Blink doorbells. I started with it standalone and then added

Am I chasing a video doorbell that doesn’t exist??
Hardwiring the E340 doorbell gives you the Pre-recording function that starts the recording earlier and works great. My E340 doorbell catches every person that walks by my house and the mailman who walks up to my door every day. I’ve been really happy with my eufy doorbell.
