I switched from Ring and couldn’t be happier with eufy. It could be how you have your settings. I’ve had my E340 doorbell for a while now and it’s been working perfectly. What motion detection settings are turned on, and what’s the sensitivity level at? There are a lot of settings to adjust. My E340 doorbell works great and captures everyone. I also have mine connected to a eufy HomeBase 3.

The problem with the flood lights is the PIR sensor (Passive Infrared) they just don't work then it's -25 or colder. You'd need a different sensor such as a ultrasonic or microwave sensor. Hardwiring the E340 doorbell gives you the Pre-recording function that starts the recording earlier and works great. My E340 doorbell catches every person that walks by my house and the mailman who walks up to my door every day. I’ve been really happy with my eufy doorbell.
