I upgraded to a 16V 30 VA. I am running 2 Eufy E340s off it. No special wiring or jumpers as the new models don’t require them. Chimes work perfectly and the batteries are kept charged. However, I can’t have prerecord on as the extra constant current through the chimes causes them to hum.

They sell a spare battery. I bought one separately. I bought mine through Best Buy. The biggest mistake Eufy made with E340 doorbell firmware update 3.2.3.0 it has brick up doorbell and battery discharge quickly issues now they are trying out different firmware E.G 3.2.4.0, 3.2.4.0 and what I have 3.2.4.4 they have fully rolled out yet.

How long did you have your E340 before the battery drain started happening? I bought/installed mine in January 2025, and the problem started a couple months ago - so I only had mine a little over a year before it started. Did you buy an actual Eufy replacement battery, or some third party/knockoff?
