An experiment…external battery and 12w solar panel
For the past few years I've run a eufy 2k outdoor cam continuous recording (the e220 outdoor) off a 12v deep cycle battery that gets charged off a 50w solar panel. I have a dual battery solar charge controller that splits the solar panel charging between the battery driving my security cameras and s

Security camera advice
We’ve got eufy and they are great - good audio / visual at night. Easy app to delete recordings not needed etc https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/eufy-s3-pro-security-camera-kit-2-pack-1

Outdoor cameras dropping wifi
I had similar problems with the S3 Pro. It still isn't perfect, but it is a lot better. I did a number of things. I have 3 access points in my wifi. I repositioned those in my house so that my cameras would all be able to find them with multi bridge. I also repositioned some bridges (Hue, Aqara) to

Looking for recommendations for security cameras that work directly with iCloud.
Given the requirements you have, the Eufy S3 pro seems like a good candidate. I have three of these deployed and the solar battery is great and they work well with homekit secure video.

Eufy Cam 3 w external solar power
The answer to why it doesn’t charge from the solar panel is because it can’t. Unlike the S340 and the new S3 Pro, according (after much persuasion) to eufy and verified by my own testing using a power meter the eufyCam 3 is incapable of receiving a charge from an external solar panel. Well, that’s a

HomeKit For eufy S330 Camera
Arriving at this Eufy/Homekit question/topic now - just received a Homebase 3 and 4x S3 Pro cameras and understand: (a) Cameras are natively Homekit but whilst my iCloud plan allows for unlimited Homekit Secure Video cameras, the Homebase limits this to 4 cameras (b) Native HKSV is restricted to 108

Was going to get my daughter a Eufy setup but posts here give me pause; is there ANY system people actually like???
The Ring system, I've heard both good and bad. Our neighborhood has quite a few of them, and every so often theres a report of missing an event, or bad video. Others have had no issues. Got a buddy who has the alarm subscription and he says its working well. I used to have the Arlo camera system, Pr

G410 motion detection in HomeKit terrible
You are having red same issues with the eufy s3 pro? If so i might consider ring then. I already pay for ring for the security monitoring so would be free for me. I have home assistant running so would still show up in HomeKit i believe

Looking to Purchase
Switched from Ring to Eufy and have been satisfied with the purchase. I use E330 Pros with a HomeBase 3 (4 can kit that comes with a hard drive) and would recommend them or possibly the new S3 Pro cameras. Try going with wired power for as many of the cameras that you can. Don’t think that they have

Looking into solar powered cellular cameras. Any recommendations?
The Eufy 4G LTE Cam S330 would be a good option for you. Other than the cellular monthly cost you wouldn’t need a subscription for the camera. https://www.eufy.com/products/t86p2121?ref=navimenu_1_1_1_copy&fliter_category=outdoor-security-cameras&variant=43152752083130 Another consideration could be the
