New to resin printing, what's causing these print fails

They key there is DEFAULT settings but I can't use them because with 3mm 5mm lift height it takes 11hrs to do what the Saturn 3 does in 4.5hrs and the ApexMaker X1 does in 2.2 hours! The ApexMaker X1 is an absolute BEAST and it slaughters the Mega 8k v2 but because that's so fast and the same pixel

Finally finished painting my first Combat Patrol

Right now, an Elegoo Saturn 3 (wife bought me it in the Christmas sale for £170) but I originally had an Anycubic Mono that was super reliable; just slower due to the smaller build plate. I got that for about £130 with the wash and cure station during a Black Friday sale a few years back. I use chea

Anycubic Photon Mono M7 or Elegoo Saturn 3 Ultra

If the Saturn 3 is available, get that. It’s actually better than the Ultra, despite the internet… has better UV uniformity, comes with nFEP/PFA release film as standard (Elegoo discontinued using ACF after the Mars 4 Ultra and Saturn 3 Ultra). Level using my method and you’ll eliminate Z axis compr

New to Resin - which saturn?

I really like the Saturn 3 ultra. I’ve used it a ton and haven’t really ever had to mess with it other than the initial setup. I use chitubox too and have never changed anything from the default settings. I really hate the Saturn 4 build plate and have heard more stories of people having trouble wit

Is this a good FEP foil (140X200MM)? for Elegoo Mars 5 Ultra

Edit: As u/awyeahmuffins pointed out, oddly enough the Mars 4, 5, and 5 Ultra have FEP listed by Elegoo. Didn't realize FEP was still in use on any consumer machines as PFA is better and cheaper. The Mars 4 Max uses PFA and notably has a larger tank than other Mars machines. In this case, either fil

Voron parts printed on ABS LIKE RESIN

That's interesting, thank you for sharing! I hadn't found that project yet. Yes, I also want it to just work! My main complaints are that it doesn't just work, and klipper + orca just work. It took a bit to get my calibrations from SuperSlic3r transferred over, and I'm not yet used to the UI, but fo

Sharing a great prints with Chitu Systems Conjure Resin

Looks great šŸ‘šŸ». Conjure Sculp is the best but if you open a bottle and top it up with Elegoo 8k abs space grey dammmmn it's impressive that's what I use on my commission prices. If you want even crazier details try there Beige with a little red clay the Beige has way more ceramic pigment so zero bloo

Why did my build turn out like this

What resin are you using? My settings on my Saturn 3 ultras are as follows. Bottom exposure 30s Normal exposure 1.4 to 1.8s depending on the resin Normal lift height 1mm + 2mm (that's what cuts your print time down to nothing not lift speed, you can go from 120mm to 240mm normal lift speed and it on

New to resin printing, what's causing these print fails

Saturn 3 ultra, normal exposure 1.2s, normal lift speed 180mm, normal lift height 1mm + 2mm, print time 3hrs and 33min at 30um layer height! My prints fall away from the supports leaving almost zero trace, so almost no sanding hardly any cleaning up required just print and paint. Light support conta

Is there a technical reason why most posts on here are of objects with organic shapes?

Not sure what you’re talking about, I’m using an Elegoo Saturn 3 Ultra and the results are insane. If I print a 60mm piece, it’ll come out almost exactly that.Even if there’s a little light bleed, that’s not going to affect dimensional accuracy. I haven’t used HeyGears and Formlabs though, so maybe
