Looking to replace my current printers. Need input from professionals

Yeah Anycubic long term support is ass. I own an M3 Premium and they ended support for them almost 2 years ago, yet I can still order parts (other than LCDs) for my Saturn 2s from Elegoo... which are the same age as the M3 Premium. Heygears is supposed to open up some of their settings later this ye

3D Printer Advice needed

So I'm going to be the weirdo here and say that SLA printing is fine for vehicles. With the big caveat that you are patient and meticulous. I have the elegoo Saturn 3 12K and it has a print space about the size of a tablet screen. So you're not going to be printing a bane blade in one part but with

Source for old models from the 80s?

In addition to what unprofesionalbee said, you might SERIOUSLY want to look at a small resin 3D printer. Something along the lines of an Elegoo Mars 4-5 (I think 5 is the most current, but a previous model will do the work just fine and be cheaper). There's a learning curve, but here the kicker- all

First resin printer

Pretty much this. The Saturn 3 gives you the best machine to learn on while giving you exactly the top resolution you want to print with. Plus the build plate size is what you eventually want to get once you're done with any Mars-level printer. The Mars just end up being too small in the long run. T

3D Printing Questions

What is your budget? With resin have you considered all the other things you need outside the printer to use the machine safe and effectively? I have taken the deep dive into resin printing HO scale models including full freight cars. Resin printers ship with the slicer software and there are open s

Help to purchase my first resin printer for 1:6 scale figures Phrozen mighty 12K

build volume is enough for most 1/6 scale figures, though some parts might be a bit too big if not cut into manageable parts. For example, long capes or detailed diorama bases can get a little big, but honestly these are often parts perfect for FDM. just buy models that are already split up and prop

Anycubic M7 or Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra?

Anycubics are a larger gamble in terms of QC than Elegoo. A lot of M7s come with concave plates. On top of that, Anycubics can't use per layer wait times, so they have even more trouble with adhesion than other auto-leveling printers, especially with low cure depth resins (light colored/high detail)

My first ever successful miniatures! I'm starting to love this hobby

I have the Anycubic Wash and Cure 3 and it's great, the hobby would be A LOT less fun without it. And I would definitely go with the Elegoo Saturn 3 Ultra, it will offer better quality and the 10" build plate is a game changer, the 7" plate on my printer is its main weakness.

First 3D Printer for 1:24 Miniatures – Is the Phrozen Mini 8K S the Right Choice?

Saturn 3 non-Ultra. 19x24um pixel, close to the 22um pixel of a Mini 8K S. Much better UV uniformity, full PWM UV control (Mini 8K S doesn't have that). Moddable gcode. Full wait time support (Mini 8K S doesn't respect wait time after print). Adjustable Z axis offset (or use my leveling method to el

Should I get the Saturn 3 in 2026?

Better screen on the ultra. It's still the best lcd screen elegoo makes in that size. Build height is a bonus. I would still pick a standard Saturn 3 over any Saturn 4 model.
