First Printer, Halot X1 Combo....Regret?
The best printer is the one that you have and makes models for you. We're kinda cursed nowadays with the wonderful array of options and like you, I was a bit obsessed with choosing "the best one" Seriously, they're all pretty much the same in core functionality and they'll all delight and frustrate

Why is Australia getting shafted !
Load of crap. This type of item is duty free and there's only a 10% sales tax which is comperable to most places in the world. Shipping from china is also pretty affordable, not saying we are the cheapest but we arn't no outlier especially for something this small and light. A 10-15% price increase

Screen's end of life ?
Those black dots ? Yep, screen is dead. You bought it in 2023 ? Either you don't print often, or you're very lucky. Prints don't hold for long across multiple prints. It's perfectly normal, ask yourself : why your printer has a 1 year warranty, except the screen which has a 6 months warranty ? And a

I want to get into 3D printing Miniatures but i don't know what printer to get.
I use a Saturn 3 Ultra and I love everything about it. The new 4 has bells and whistles but for me, I'm all about mechanical reliability. The 3U has a ball screw for the Z-axis, which is not only solid but also precise (ball screws are the same thing that is used in measuring equipment like micromet

Need help buying a printer
All the problems you hear about a specific printer online are warranted but people who don't have problems don't come to the Internet to complain also, searching for problems with a piece of tech or anything for that matter everybody should do, so you are equipped with the knowledge of knowing that

Stay away from the Jupiter 2
This is ridiculous. I've Bambu FDM P1S, so as good as FDM gets, and I've Elegoo Saturn 3 Ultra. FDM absolutely does not get close to level of detail SLA does. Not even remotely. And when we're talking about miniatures, were talking about details that are a fraction of a millimeter. FDM is good for t

I am wondering whether FDM printing can give me a similar result
No FDM printer can produce miniatures as good as a modern 8 to 12k SLA printer! If you buy a really expensive high quality FDM printer like bamboo or Prusha and you use a .2 nozzle and a 0.2 to 0.3 layer height you can get close SLA but under magnification you will CLEARLY see a difference.. Also us

Looking for 1st 3D printer
Best space for resin printer = grow tent with duct fan and ventilation pipe running trough window. Because resin is stinky and relatively toxic as well as solvents. First printer - my favorite is Elegoo Saturn 3 ultra \ Mars 4 ultra depends on size you want. I dont like new gen tilt-vat printers.

Need help buying a printer
If you were already leaning S3U, the ELEGOO Saturn 3 Ultra 12K is a good fit because it keeps the big Saturn build volume and is in stock. I would take it over the S4U 16K if the leveling/LCD stuff worries you.

Jupiter 2 Vs anycubic P1 max? any insight to help me make the best choice.
The scales swing often with printer manufacturers. At one point one company will be great and dish out some awesome stuff, at another they'll be dishing out trash and someone else will take over. Like Bambulab came out with the best FDM printers out of nowhere, now they're spiraling downward with un
