Saturn 4 Ultra (commonly S4U) in 12k or 16k is going to be the easiest printer to get started and successful prints from for a new user. I am 99% sure this is the problem. I have a M5U and it does not like to print when in the garage during cold temps. I got the Elegoo heater and it helped a lot but I agree a Brewers belt would do the same for cheaper. Or moved inside.

The elegoo mini heaters work just fine, it's 5c where I am right now and I've just processed a print without issue (on my jupiter SE, but I also have an M5U with the same heater) Another thing to consider though is build plate size, M5U is pretty tiny so you'll be limited with how much you can print

In this case it's correct though. The M5U comes with FEP by default. No idea why Elegoo did that, considering they've moved to PFA for their other machines.

The glue is normal, apparently. I just got a replacement part sent to me by elegoo and opened my new mars 5 ultra up to find silicone RTV on all the cable/connectors. Which is conveniently not mentioned in the repair guides so it comes as a bit of a surprise.
