TLDR: Far bigger bang-for-the-buck with plug-in PA speakers vs battery-powered speakers. PA Setup - What can I use?
On the battery-powered speaker question -- All battery-powered speakers have much less output compared to a plug-in PA speaker. What you pay for is built-in battery-powered convenience, but you lose in overall output and performance, cost, size/weight, etc. Example: EV Everse 8 has a lot less output
