Bose S1Pro+ noise question
I've used the Bose S1 and L1 systems a ton and they definitely have a problem with noise floor. I find the preamps specifically are super noisy. I've found sending a line level signal in with a TRS 1/4in helps compared to an XLR in. If you're considering returning it, I'd low key just get an EV Ever

Rallies/events
Check out Electrovoice (EV) Everse series. 8in or 10in versions, battery powered, built in digital mixer with phone/tablet support, quite impressive. Not cheap.

Recs for Portable PA System for Outdoor Events?
EV Everse 8 is my go-to for these type of events. Cheaper options exist, but they won't be as loud, sound as good, and arw likely to die much sooner ao you will pay mor to replace them.

Upgrade suggestion for solo singer/guitarist
My first suggestion is to look at a 12" column like EV Evolve 50M. Adding another EON can help with coverage, but won't add a lot of overall volume...you're not going to be able to get to the back of a larger crowd with two EON's vs one EON. You will be able to cover a much wider area with a pair at

Recommendations for a new PA system
For convenience sake, you can definitely get away with a single speaker If you're looking powered, I didn't think there's any more bang for your buck speaker on the market then the EV ZLX-12P-G2. Though you could go with the 15 inch variant. If you're looking battery powered as that may seem benefic

Some post-season reflections from a wedding DJ in Montana
I used up a pair of Mackie Thump GOs that I picked up for a price so low I couldn’t resist. They served me well, and most definitely delivered in the battery powered department, but I should have gone for a pair of EV Everse 8, which look better and have much better onboard DSP. I’m sure they sound

Budget active full range PA speaker?
What is 'budget' or 'cheap' for you? Does it need to be battery powered? And you want just one speaker? I personally would opt for two, but here you go. If it needs to be battery powered as well, the Bose S1 is one that is been used a lot by entertainers. A little bit more expansive - but in my opin

Nonprofit Ribbon Cutting Ceremony - Gear Advice
EV Everse 8. Battery powered, basic on board mixer, sounds good for a what it is. I do lots of press conferences with them.

Looking for options for portable PA for small/medium protests
The EV Everse line is solid, built in mixer, battery powered, and good output for it's size. They come in 8" and 12" variants. They are quite light(IMO). JBL has some good options, haven't personally used them though. Mackie is the cheapest option I'd recommend, the Thump Go series is very light, ea

Mobile DJ speakers
You don’t need the best, to be the best, but keep in mind; cheap price = cheap sound = cheap pay Don’t use speaker stand scrims, don’t shine / setup lights at head height / into people’s eyes. Request wise it goes; Bride, then Groom, then wedding party (bridesmaids over groomsmen). Anyone else other
