Looking to upgrade speakers from bedroom speakers to event speakers

#1 don't chase "Watts" because most speakers in the lower tiers are completely lying#2 for a brand that is like, bottom tier of something I would actually spend money on, the Alto TS412 or similar is like, scraping the bottom end but can sound OK. see this post https://www.reddit.com/r/livesound/com

Looking to start an open mic night

Too many variables. You’d be better off finding the venue first and buying equipment based on the room. We also need to know your budget and what you consider killing cost. Since you mentioned, I am a big fan of anything Electro-Voice. All the new mains and sticks talk to each other and you run your

Need Suggestions: Event Sound System

Something like the EV Everse series paired with Sennheiser EWDX system will likely be your most compact and robust solution. Sennheiser used to make a speaker with integrated wireless, but it has been discontinued.

Straatoptreden (Eindhoven) tijdens koningsdag.

Klinkt leuk! Wat voor apparatuur heb je al om mee te nemen? Er zijn ook PA speakers met batterij, ik ben zelf groot fan van de EV Everse 8 bijvoorbeeld

Tired of lugging my 15” tops around for ceremony and moving it to cocktail/reception. Would Alto TX408 work well for a ceremony setup?

Absolutely. I love the EV Everse 8 for this, but have a Behringer Flow 8 with me in case I need to add more. I did a wedding once where I was informed about 30 minutes before the ceremony that the bride's sister wanted to sing. I already had 2 lavs on preacher and groom, was able to set up the Flow

Wireless PA and microphones - voice only

Not a lot of budget. My goto is currently EV Everse 8 with Sennheiser EW-DP mics, but that's far outside of your budget range...usually a single decent wireless mic on its own is $650+. Both are impressive for their size/weight. The Sennheiser has a USB rechargable battery in the receiver, so it can

PA recomendations for small wedding (50 people +- 10

Got it. Running 'normal' plug-in PA speakers off of a battery power station will have a lot more performance for less money. Upside of a battery powered speaker is the convenience of a 'all-in-one' self-powered in PA speaker and size/weight (vs having speaker plus additional battery power station).

Looking for options for portable PA for small/medium protests

The EV Everse line is solid, built in mixer, battery powered, and good output for it's size. They come in 8" and 12" variants. They are quite light(IMO). JBL has some good options, haven't personally used them though. Mackie is the cheapest option I'd recommend, the Thump Go series is very light, ea

[advice needed] Laney LFR-110

I'd rather use a PA. It's FRFR without the guitarist tax and marketing. Especially something like the EV Everse, where you can play along to Bluetooth audio, and choose to use a normal IEC for power or just be completely untethered from a wall since it has a built in battery.

Best portable PA setup for a DJ playing 30–50 person indoor/outdoor events? Budget around $1,500–$2,000

Although a little out of your price range for a pair. I just put together what I think is a pretty decent Bluetooth battery powered rig.I run this rig for remote gigs that have no power. So far a 6 hour gig is no problem and batteries are only 1 bar down when I am finished.. They make spare batterie
