Adjustable dumbbells. An experienced users opinion.
Man you go through a lot of adjustable dumbbells. 😀. I have the eisenlink, which are similar to ironmaster. Gets a little tedious if each set you do a different poundage, as you are constantly spinning the plates on. You can load the extended handle with a ton of weight though. They are also very du

"Ironmaster/Eisenlink dumbbells are too slow when you want to change the weight"
I agree... love my Eisenlink. However, I have a set of vinyl dumbbells in 5lb increments from 5-45 lbs and I generally reach for them for anything in that weight range. They're just faster and easier. Anything 60 to 120lbs, I reach for the Eisenlink. They're not that much of a nuisance to change the

Adjustable dumbbells past 50lbs
I bought a pair of the 80 lbs eisenlinks on Temu for $340 (including taxes, free shipping) during a sale period which they do often. You really can’t beat that for as much weight as you’re getting and the decent quality that they are. I think they’re a good option

Am I wrong to think I can get 80% of the way there with a bench and DBs?
Eisenlink adjustable dumbbell set with the kettlebell handle. Add the long screws and extra plates to get them up to 120lbs. Grab a bench. You can get pretty far with just that.

What's one piece of fitness equipment you bought that was actually worth the money?
Eisenlink adjustable dumbbells. Really nice and durable. Only thing I wish I had gotten the 36 kg version right away because I got the 20 kg one and it's getting too easy on some exercises

What's the best adjustable dumbbells if you're finally upgrading your home gym?
All adjustable dumbbells have some trade off. You probably have to compromise on one of your care points. Peppins and Powerblocks have a cage, Ironmaster/Eisenlink(clones) are slow changing, others are less durable with plastic parts etcetera. Not to mention max weight and price. I'm fine with my Tu

Adjustable dumbbells past 50lbs
I only have up to 40s but I was thinking the same thing. Most of my workouts are barbell based but I’m really pushing a lot of reps with the 40s on some exercises! I need to load up for rows, pullovers, triceps presses, chest pressing, etc. I think the rack of dumbbells and 2 80lb eisenlinks will be

what home gym equipment to get
I've got a couple of questions that I need to ask before I could answer. What's the budget you have for equipment? What amount of space Re you able to fill? What kind of exercises do you like? Knowing that is going to direct the type of advice you need to help you buy equipment within budget, with t

Weekly Free-Talk and Questions for r/HomeGym - week of July 31, 2026
For that price, I'd say get adjustable dumbbells like Powerblocks, Eisenlink, Ironmaster, or Rep (not the Repins, the Quickdraw). They are all durable and just as if not more heavy. The Weight it Out handles look like you need a wrench to adjust... which in the middle of a workout I'd never do...
