Remote Access - New Router
My Google WiFi’s finally died yesterday after about 6-7 years of service. Plex was working fine before they died. I went to Best Buy and got the Eero Pro 6E tri-band set. Hooked up the new equipment and now I don’t have remote access outside the network. Upon doing research I went into my Eero app a

Eero mesh system on Full Fibre max - extenders or more pro 6Es?
Hi, thinking of moving over to Zen, full fibre max. We have a big house with thick walls and currently have an 'okay' working ASUS mesh system connected to a Virgin modem. Zen tell me we can keep that mesh set up and just connect that to the Openreach box, or use the eero pro 6E. I asked about costs

Router or Mesh?
Hi! I recently joined Youfibre from Virgin. Pleased with the service, but bummed about coverage. The only cable entry point to my house is a rear bedroom used as an office. Great for work, but useless for getting signal to my living room, at the opposite end of house. I get 800Mbps on wifi in the

Nest WiFi Pro 6E erratic performance
I recently purchased used Nest WiFi Pro 6e, and since I have been having issues where a device (mostly cellphone) will be getting 300Mbps speeds, then the next day only get 10Mbps speeds.
This has nothing to do with the internet (spectrum) connection, which always has expected speeds. I thought r

I wanna quit paying extra per month to use their gear. What do I replace this with?
Mine is $12 per month ($3 discount on the gateway fee, and a $5 discount for a “free” range extender) for a 2 pack of the Eero Pro 6E. I was debating buying it but at the time it was like $530 on Amazon (including tax). Works out to be about even over 3 years. And my cat broke one and Altafiber just

MoCA Speeds Slow
Just upgraded my cable modem from Spectrum that doesn't like MoCa I tried everything I could think of. Nothing. Wound up with a 3 pack of eero 6e pro mesh system. Same speeds and latency is nearly the same as with MoCa.

Redundancy with Windows and RPi installs via Docker
I have my primary install of Adguard Home in a docker container on RPi 4. Works great no issues.
I don't have a second RPi so I spun up a secondary Adguard Home in a docker container but it's on a windows host. I thought I would be able to use keepalived but didn't realize was Linux only and due t

Vmedia fibre (under Bell) 1.5G plan, only getting 800Mbps after a line change
First of all, I'd like to thank all of you who contributed to this post. The Bell technician came yesterday and I'd like to provide an update. In short, the problem seems to be resolved for now, that I'm getting over 1500Mbps down (non-peak hours), 1000Mbps up. ------------------------------------ T
