New turntable
LP60X and Edifier R1280 are both the bare minimum, turntable lacks adjustments and lacks a removable cartridge. Pass on the bare minimum if you can.

Good beginner setup?
Do not pay $99 for the Fluance phono preamp, it's not worth that much. The better Magnat Monitor speakers have a built in phono preamp! Pass on the bare minimum Edifier R1280 that are often paired with the bare minimum AT-LP60X if you can't afford anything good. Ignore people saying buy them because

Audio-Technica LP70XBT for first turntable?
AT-LP60X and Edifier R1280T are both the bare minimum. AT-LP70X has a better stylus and cartridge however like the 60X it still lacks adjustments. Ideally get a turntable with a better tonearm with adjustable tracking force. If you must start with bare minimum Edifiers then R1280DBs add Bluetooth, d

Beginner setup: Audio-Technica AT-LP60XUSBGM and Edifier R1280DBs
That will work. Both are the bare minimum. Pass on the bare minimum if you can. Pro-Ject Debut RecordMaster II €298 on sale from €449 is designed in Austria and built in Czechia. Or look for an AT-LP120X, AT-LP3X, AT-LPW30, AT-LPW40, AT-LP5X that may cost less. Or look for a good vintage turntable f

Turntable Setup Help
Hello everyone, I'm new to this subreddit and have been meaning to make this post for a while now. I'm interested in setting up my first turntable system, and I've already acquired a used Telefunken S900 for around $110.
I would really appreciate any recommendations for an amplifier and speakers th

Gold for audio tech education
I'm buying a pair of powered speakers. They are on route. MouKey ma20-1. I have read conflicting reports and already kind of regret not getting the edifier r1280t at the same price point but time will tell.
Anyway I have a lead on a second hand schiit modi dac. I know nothing technical about audio.

Beginning
Under $300 turntable: AT-LP120X $265 on sale. Fluance RT82 $299 adds auto stop and a solid MDF plinth. Pass on the older lower number models that lack the speed sensor that the RT82 and up have for lower wow and flutter and speed variation. ---------- Under $330 turntable and speakers: AT-LPW30BKR $

Should I get a new turntable or a new sound system? My current setup is quite shit in both departments.
Vulkanno starter powered speakers instead of Edifier R1280 or R1700: 4" A4 ARC for a small room or desktop setup. 5.25" A5 ARC for a small to medium size room. 6.5" A6 ARC for a medium to large size room. A step up are Argon Audio https://argonaudio.com/collections/active-speakers Best value is to b

Recommended settings for edifier r1280 series bookshelf speakers
ASR review of Edifier R1280T. It’s unknown if the other R1280 series models have the same output. Or what is the unit to unit variation like. Therefore you might not be able to EQ your speakers solely based on Amir’s units. (Maybe you would need to get UMIK-1 and use REW etc..) On that forum Maiky76
