Be honest with me
Buying in the US? The turntable was okay before the massive price hike recently thanks to Trump's tariffs. It now looks expensive for what it is. A far better option is the AT-LPW30. This is a league better in quality, and with thenfully adjustable tonearm, you have something that could see you thro

The Best Computer Speakers
Iāve always thought built-in laptop speakers were āgood enoughā until I finally picked up a decent pair of powered computer speakers. The difference was night and day. Music sounded fuller, games felt more immersive, and even YouTube videos had more depth. Once youāve had real speakers on your desk,

Creative pebble 2.1 vs V2 vs V3
So, just as the title says, I was looking for a replacement of my old and low end speakers I had own for more than 15 years. (On my Desktop PC).
~~I was looking for something with good design, not to voluminous and with a decent audio quality to listen to some music, movies (usually terror ones) an

Confused about speakers.
Personally I'd go for the Edifiers. I own DM40's which I bought for like half their MSRP used, I'd say they're worth that much but they're not super impressive. They have a tendency to be particularly boomy in certain bass frequencies in quite an unpleasant way, I think it's because they're attempti

Desk listening, near field monitors? Kali LP-6? [Used, 300EUR, Germany]
Budget and location - About 300EUR, Germany.
How the gear will be used - I want a set of speakers exclusively for listening to at my desk, they don't need to fill the room. I want them to provide clear sound across all frequencies. Not sure about the size of the room, probably something like 5Mx4

Finally upgraded my desk speakers ā hereās why the Edifier R1280T blew me away (and might for you too)
So I finally retired my crackly old desktop speakers and took a leap on the Edifier R1280T Powered Bookshelf Speakers. Honestly, I didnāt expect much for the price⦠but wow, the difference was immediate.
šµ The sound:
- Clear mids and highs ā I caught details in songs Iād never noticed before.

[Budget Audiophile] EDIFIER R1280DB VS R1280T

I Failed (maybe?) at EQ'ing my R1280DB
I recently purchased a cheap mic stand and a MiniDSP UMIK-1 in order to eq my R1280DB, as I wanted to try this route before dedicating almost $400 to some new speakers.
EDIT: I definitely realize that this won't sound as good as expensive speakers, this is mostly an experiment in trying to make ba
