Pass on the bare minimum Sony which is not much better than an AT-LP60X. The RT81 is not worth buying since the better Fluance RT82 adds a speed sensor for lower wow and flutter and speed variation and the speed won't drift over time. I have a Denon DP-300 F turntable and I connected it to my Edifier R1280T speakers. The speakers were very quiet. I connected them to my phone and they were much louder. Is this because I need an amplifier for my turntable? If so do you have any budget recommendations?
