Does the HomePod accept direct audio input? I’d like to use it with my iPod.
While a HomePod does sound great, there are plenty of good sounding speakers at the same price with analog connections. You could even find a iPod HiFi on eBay. Those things sound pretty good as well. I've been looking at some Edifier speakers. They get great reviews. Most have analog and bluetooth

Will Chromecast audio not work with WiFi6?
I’m in the same situation and have decided to get an edifier d12 speaker which is going cheap atm and connect it permanently to the mini using bluetooth
