Finally joined the family!
So, as the title says, finally having my AT 120X at home, and I'm so so happy about it! I'm pairing it for now with a pair of Edifier 1280T, and they are sounding amazing. Was afraid at first of not being able to calibrate it properly or something, but was so easy and smooth, and the sound is so cle

The fall off vinyl quality - just my thought
I think across multiple Reddit posts, Fluance RT82 is mentioned as a good “get it, set it and forget it” kinda system. If you care zilch about aesthetics and just reliability, audiotechnica’s AT60X is as reliable and affordable they get, If you are starting out. I’m operating on the assumption that

Buying my husband his first turntable, is this a good deal?
Good morning. There is a pinned comment in the turntables Reddit Sitze rally good advice in first system. These systems from House of Marley, 1byOne, Crosley are all basically the same. They are a step up from the crop of suitcase players and won’t damage your records at least. It is not a product k

help
Just got into the game myself and there are 3 things I looked for and I'll try to be brief: Full platter. 12in platter for 12in records. Suitcase players tend to push down more on something not fully supported completely. Diamond Stylus. More durable, gentle in grooves, better sound quality and trac

What do I need?
LP60 is great for getting back into it. I have edifier R1280DB speakers and recently did a minor upgrade to the LP70x (purely for aesthetic reasons in our new house). Also upgraded the stylus and even that's not incredibly different from the LP60x for half the price. Prior to the Edifiers I was runn

Need Budget decent quality turntable.
During Black Friday sales, that kind of budget shiuld be enough for an Audio Technica AT-LP60X and a pair of Edifier 1280 powered speakers. That's the minimum required to get started.

Poklon curi, CD player.
Ne, ne triba. Za ploče ti normalno triba malo više od ovih 150-200€ al opet za 400ak € moreš složit skroz solidan početnički setup (npr. AT-LP60 + Edifier 1280). Naravno to neće bit neka vau kvaliteta zvuka al za laika će bit skroz okej i vidno bolje od "bluetooth zvučnika". Elitizam je bolest.

Recommended turntables for a newbie??
LP70x and Edifier R1280Ts For what prices? Pass on the basic bare minimum turntable without adjustments and pass on the basic bare minimum speakers. Starter setup starting at $300.... Better AT-LPW30 $199 on sale from $329 has a good tonearm with adjustments and is two steps up from the basic bare m

What am I doing wrong?
you can't plug a headphone jack into a USB-C port, sorry USB-C uses digital audio but the headphone jack uses analogue audio. the cable you have probably only goes FROM USB-C (laptop/phone) TO a 3.5 mm socket for an input on say, an amp. im sorry to say this but you most likely wont be able to use t

ATLP60 with good powered or ATLP120 with entry level powered?
Based on your £350 budget, and taking out £120 for the AT-LP60X (Richersounds - £120), then that leaves £230. I think for that money I'd go with the Edifier R1700 speakers (£115) and a pair desktop speaker stands. The R1700 trade the optical and coax connections of the R1280DB for two amplifiers (on
